We try. After a couple of years I’m still trying to find ways to keep it fresh. Enjoy it while I still can remember the good old days. Thanks for watching.
I was a kid growing up in the 1970s being born 1961. The Superstition Mountains from the Western face to the valley to Salt River Indian Reservation or Mesa/Scottsdale trail to the canyon then Canyon Lake adventure back then. When I revisited by millennium change they dynamited the rocky steps from a tip ridge easy hike 1 mile from Canyon Lake down into the canyon to stop hikers going into the canyon. Tons of teenager party trash plus idiot men catching and knifing crawfish in the water ponds down in the canyon helped destroy nature that was at peace there until the 1970-80s. I live in Scottsdale and Mesa since then but this mountain range is my mysterious home I never challenged like you but thanks for showing places there I never went to although I did the South "Weaver's Needle" hike in the 1980s (and seeing Coronado's stadium at the start there on that hike)!
This reminds me of the time me and my wife took a friend from the east out in the rockymountains for a weekend. 1/2 hour down a boulder filled twisty road up and down 500 ft ravines, from the road that works to a somewhat main road. We set up the tent, he looks at google maps and tells us were only a ten minute walk from the road we turned off of. I told him to go walk it and he wouldnt.
Could the Cross you described have been of Portuguese origin? From your description it kinda sounds like a Cross in a style that was of Portuguese origin. Only a rough guess on my part. Portuguese Templars had a cross a bit different from the other European Templar Chapter Houses. Great story Wayne.
So how do you determine if you are going to go and meet someone you haven’t met. I realize this story is from years ago and no notoriety at tht point , but you have to wonder. Also an fyi. You could see Trevors reflection filming in your sunglasses. Thx as always.
That's one of the reasons I stay away from people...lol Fortunately, he was seemingly normal and friendly, but leaving like that threw in a creepy factor.
Hey Wayne , good story as always , I have a question for you, I know you have the shirts how about a coffee mug or like a travel mug with the logo? I would buy one , let me know, thanks!
I think some people just get embarrassed about being stupid and leading others on a wild goose chase. It seems part of human nature for dufuss's, they will never admit being wrong. Unfortunately leads to world wars and stuff like that sometimes too. regards
Speaking of Google maps look at whiskey springs on sat image where the trail/road ends look up a little you can see a shadow of a large cross amongst the trees not sure what it is.
Mr. Tuttle is one of my favorite story tellers.
Thank you
Thanks Wayne
Every Monday & Friday I look forward to another story of the Superstition Mountains. I love history!

That’s a different thing entirely and people used to complain about us just hiking. Lol

Great story Wayne.
If it actually even existed. Only Joe knows and he is not talking
@@legendofthesuperstitionmou969 well that would certainly make identification a bit more difficult 🤔😂

Depends how I feel and who we both know, additionally how I feel. Trevor needs occasional screen time, even if it’s just a reflection

Yeah, I was not in a great mood when I saw his car was gone. I am able to laugh now.
Interesting story, I hope that doesn't ruin it for you to go out with somebody else

Coffee mugs are tricky or more like shipping is tricky. Maybe revisit it.
See about the stainless travel mugs they won’t break!
@@davematteson6756 nice idea
Never got to us one. But there's a lot to be said about GPS and extra batteries. For all devices.
Q all the snakes coming out for springtime be safe out their guys.
Nothing like getting catfished. Thank goodness you know the mountains like you do. Joe sounds like a bit of a jerk.
Yeeeehaaah !!!

You probably are pretty close to the truth there

Wayne, I'm glad you didn't waste your time looking for him. And then get lost yourself. 🏜
That would have seriously sucked. Lol
