Nawab Fort was built in 1927 by Khan Bahadur Nawab Zaman Khan Afridi (Kuki Khel - Sherkhan Khel). The fort is located in Khaist near Dwa Toey area of Tirah Valley in Khyber District of Pakhtunkhwa.
Nawab Zaman Khan was a brave leader who represented not only the Afridi tribe but also the millions of tribal people living on the Pak-Afghan border. Nawab Fort of Tirah still witness the glory and command of his leadership towards his great tribe of Afridis. He and his family commanded the tribe for almost a century.

Nawab Zaman Khan was revered by the entire Afridi tribe for decades and this magnificent fort-like guesthouse and residence was a masterpiece of the time. Inaccessible by road until as late as five years ago, building such a structure was in itself, an impossible task. Great people do great things and Nawab Zaman Khan was indeed, one of the great member of the Afridi tribe.

Anyone from Malakhel here, uptill 1950s many Hindu & Sikh families of Arora caste use to reside here who migrated to indian punjab for economic reasons. I just wanted to know are there any ruins of them still there like their cremation grounds, mandar , gurudwara, houses etc

Talk to the local people. I lived over 50 years in USA and I know what people need for their investment. I am 80 years old retired and I know if you make the transportation easy for people. They will flock to invest. But local
people must be participating. The ideas that I will be passing on, if you are selfish it will not work. Honesty & sincerity is important.

Harsh weather, years of wars between Afridis and subsequent brutal mil ops by army rendered the already tough Tirah valley undwellable..btw who will abandon their luxurious hayatabad and Islamabad bungalows for this already deserted countryside..
