I think I understand both perspectives, but my sympathy leads more towards Amanda. Postpartum depression is a real thing. I also believe that the way she behaves around him in his description is a reflection of the way he treats her. Even though she might not feel like the most perfect or prettiest girlfriend and mother, she still depicts her love for Edwin through little things like cooking and cleaning up after him. She most likely feels unappreciated by him and in turn doesn’t act the way she used to when they first got together. Instead of jumping to conclusions or being dismissive of the woman’s wants and needs, a lot of guys like Edwin should start making the effort to ask their woman how she feels. WHY she’s acting a certain way. Take her out for walks, just like Amanda suggested… make time for HER and COMMUNICATE. Communication is literally the bare minimum yet the key to building a successful relationship, and it goes both ways.

I think I understand both perspectives, but my sympathy leads more towards Amanda. Postpartum depression is a real thing. I also believe that the way she behaves around him in his description is a reflection of the way he treats her. Even though she might not feel like the most perfect or prettiest girlfriend and mother, she still depicts her love for Edwin through little things like cooking and cleaning up after him. She most likely feels unappreciated by him and in turn doesn’t act the way she used to when they first got together. Instead of jumping to conclusions or being dismissive of the woman’s wants and needs, a lot of guys like Edwin should start making the effort to ask their woman how she feels. WHY she’s acting a certain way. Take her out for walks, just like Amanda suggested… make time for HER and COMMUNICATE. Communication is literally the bare minimum yet the key to building a successful relationship, and it goes both ways.

The girlfriend Amanda really did not listen to anything he was saying. She only "pretended" to listen when he said he no longer wanted to be with her because her words are breaking him down. If she speaks to him like that in the relationship, and do not care about change early on, then that will seriously impact their daughters well-being. This entire time she was on the show she did not listen to his concerns. It went in one ear and out the other. She begin crying (form of manipulation) to try to make him come back in. When that did not work, she begin to say well you are coming back home with me ect. I know this is an old episode but if she listen and really hear what her boyfriend was saying. She would know how horrible her words can impact his well-being. You cannot build a relationship up, if you never listen to what the other individual is saying.
