- Between my flights from and to Anglesey. I had a few hours to Kill at the airport of the Welsh capital and despite there only being a handful of movements scheduled, it ended up being a highly productive day.
Arriving at around 10:30 we had around 4 hours. There was a fairly good amount of action with British Airways 777 G-RAES undergoing some tests. We were lucky with getting the arrival of another BA 777 G-ZZZC from LHR. Shortly after this another surprise. US Navy Boeing C-40A Clipper 16-6696 from Chania. Qatar Airways 787 A7-BCN departed empty back to Doha after going tech the previous day, North Flying Metroliner OY-NPE operated an air ambulance flight and finally Smartlynx A321 YL-LCX arrived on a Thomas Cook repatriation flight with TCX titles removed. On a final note, the spot offered a good view of MOD St Athan where a variety of aircraft are parked awaiting scrapping, see how many you can spot on the video!
INCLUDES: KLM E190, British Airways 777-200, FlyBe E175, North Flying Metroliner, Vueling A320, US Navy C-40A Clipper, Qatar Airways 787-8, ASL Airlines France 737, Smartlynx A321 with TCX titles removed and finally, what's left of a European Air Charter BAC 1-11.
