I have both, and I prefer the original as it fits the contours of my head better than the Pro, as was shown during your demonstration. The Pro doesn’t cup your head as well as the original. Perhaps on an evenly smooth head, but my head isn’t evenly smooth, and the original flexes in the right places to give me a clean cut. I love the power and quietness of the Pro, but it’s my back up that I keep at the office. Having the fifth head gives me more shaving power. As for cleaning, yes the Pro is easier to clean, but cleaning the original is not a problem as I use the brush that came with it, open the heads clean with the brush, and then rinse. Three years of use, and I haven’t had any regrets. Thanks for your review.

Thanks for the comparison video. I enjoy your content. May I ask , when you stated oil for the blades to perserve them longer. Which oil would that be?
Hello! Sorry to comment on an older video but I couldn’t find a comparison between the flex series pro and a pitbull gold. Of the two, do you have a recommendation or a clear winner? (I generally shave dry but would like the option of shaving wet if needed) thanks in advance!
It's okay, this video is fairly new. I'm not sure about clear winner, but the Pitbull Gold Pro still holds the first spot for me. I will do another best of roundup in 2025. I think the blades still just have the edge for me on the Skull Shaver and how it shaves the back on the head. However, the Flexseries Pro is very good. Maybe I will do a vs. for these two. 👍
@@shavingadvisor well first thank you bro for replying to me. My questions are. About how many times should I use my Free Bird before I clean it. Then I have this Michael Strahan shaving gel for my head. Can I use my Free Bird with it? I am hesitant because I fear it will clog up my Free Bird. Or do you think I should only use the head gel whenever I just razor shave my head? Which is about every 2 months.
@derekrogers5700 I clean a head shaver with the brush and blowing the debris out after every use, and then clean it in water with hand anti bacterial soap every 3 or 4 times. You are fine to use shaving gel, but just give it a good rinse after. Are you unable to shave dry for any reason? No problem, you are welcome--I am happy to reply😎
@@shavingadvisor thank you bro. Much appreciated. But my personal opinion is not to use the gel with the Free Bird. I know it’s waterproof. I just don’t want to give it any reason to mess up. Because I’m about 1 month to shaving my head bald and I love everything about it and I love my Free Bird
@shavingadvisor flex series regular kept turning on at random times and drained the battery. 2 different shavers. BTW I like your reviews and I think I am leaning towards the skull shaver palm based on value and performance for my next one
@@shavingadvisor also to be fair to the company they did replace the first one free, but after the second one doing the same thing it is becoming inconvenient and I am going to look another direction.
@stephenr465 Thanks for the info. If you are from the US you can also check out the price of the Skull Shaver Silver as it has been reduced to around 60 USD. which is a bargain.

Thanks for your mind words. You can use any clipper oil or light mineral oil. Lots of clipper oils are available online at stores like Amazon. 👍
@@shavingadvisor thank you. Have a blessed day
@JohnGoff-c4t You too, thank you 🙏

Any chance the new blade cartridge fits on the old device? TIA
No. They are completely different blades. 👍
Hey brother. Can I ask you some questions about the Free Bird please? I have one and I just have a couple questions, I hope you can answer for me.
Yeah, fire away. Ask, and if I answer, I will 👍

@derekrogers5700 Cool. It makes sense to not use the gel, just in case. Do you have the FlexSeries Pro or the standard version?
the Pro is now $49.95 as of 10 December 2024 👀
Bargain. Great price. Thanks for sharing 👍
Very unhappy with this razor. Had 2 that both turn on by themselves.

@stephenr465 That's useful to know about the company, so thanks for sharing that 👍
