- In this series I'm zooming in on countries with Google Earth, and it's time to take a look at Sri Lanka! Google Earth gives information about cities, bordering countries, coordinates, distances, and I can use street view! Thank you, Google Earth, for showing us our beautiful earth!
From this weekend I will be traveling for 3 full weeks! I will keep posting Zooming in on - videos in the meantime, but I won't be as active when it comes to responding to your comments or responding to messages in Instagram, but in three weeks I'll be back!

Yes definitely you have done a great job, Sri Lanka has a colonial past under three countries (Portuguese Dutch and British) and it is world famous for tea ☕️ and spices as well as gems.there are eight world heritages sites in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 as a tropical country we have only two seasons it’s rainy or sunny ☀️ 😂
Southern and eastern coast lines are renowned for surfing 🏄♀️ Sri Lankan society is multi ethnic and multicultural. Majority is Sinhalese. Elephants 🐘 Sigiriya , Gall fort city ,ruins ,hundreds of waterfalls and much more. Thank you for sharing some knowledge keep up the good work forward wish you all the best ❤️😄

10:06 “Jetavanaramaya” yes it is the 3rd tallest ancient structure in the world (first one is the Great Pyramid of Giza and the 2nd one is the Pyramid next to it! 😂 and this is 3rd!)
Also “Jetavanaramaya” is THE tallest clay brick structure in the World!
And the construction of it was as mysterious as the pyramids and set to be built way faster for its time (no strong evidence though)... Best part of the island is that it has something for everyone who visits....

Don't be fucking crazy boy Sri lanka is not a Buddhist country there are about 4 religions.
So don't divide people with religions.
It doesn't mean in Sri lanka has majority of people are Sinhalese so the country was Buddhists country.
You should explorer Anuradapura, polonnaruwa, kandy they are unesco heritage cities, and Colombo, Galle fort city, Hikkaduwa, jaffna, Arugambe surf & other sports, tangalle beaches,Hambantota, Yala national park, wilpattu national park there are so many national parks there you can see so many wild elephants, leopards ..etc Udawalawa national park , Sri padaya(Adam's peak), dambulla cave temple, Sigiriya( lion rock),Mirissa beach towan, ALLA , negombo, horton plains, Pinnawala elephant orphanage, Sinharaja rain forest ,Knuckles mountain Nuwaraeliya and there are so many places

And 'tank' means a lake or reservoir, natural or man-made, usually of fresh water. Another word for Veva is Vila. Man-made 'tanks' are built for irrigation purposes. I live in Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte. Although it became the capitol city in the late 70s (or was it early 80s?) the commercial capitol is still Colombo. Great video. Thank you.

It takes around 8 hours towards Jaffna in the northen provence, there you can see temples and beautify beaches.Another place i suggest is Nuwara Eliya.

8:34 < "wawa" means a man made lake in native language (sinhala) in SL, in ancient times people were used the word "wapi" to call them and "wawa" was derived from that word later on !

You have missed our traditional foods. It's so many varieties. So you will love it and it is normally bit spicy. Also here available 22 National Park with so many elephants and so many different kinds animal. So just visit you will love it.within a couple of hours you can enjoy every type of climate except snow...
