We've changed the layout in our Buddy Berlingo Camper to more of a comfortable day van.
We're not yet ready for an overnight stay, but if we are to get back out and about, then we needed to switch things around a little.
We need to ensure we can both use our Camper comfortably after Bernie's recent knee surgery first.
So...as usual, thinking caps on and we came up with a plan.
Because I am so proud how you've built up your following and the videos always make us smile 😃

Thanks Guys. Our Buddy certainly delivers on the possible setup side. There's no doubt a "Harry" would make this stage a little easier, but we're no where ready to give up on him just yet 🙂🐕🚙
Wow, your Buddy is like a Tardis. Hopefully, you’ll be out & about on your travels again soon. In the meantime enjoy your mini days out & your cuppas in the camper. Like you said,there’s nothing better than being tucked up inside 😊

Hi Geraldine. Yes, it's a slow painful recovery, but he's getting there. He's religiously doing his exercises. Think he pushes a little too hard sometimes. As for screwing things in...your right there lol. We're hoping to get out for the day sometime next week, if this hoolie of a wind finally drops. 🙂🐕🚙

Thanks for coming along with us. It's been too long.As soon as we've done a couple if day trips, it's onto stage 2 of "Let's go Bernie". Can he get both legs into his mummy sleeping bag...now there's a challenge!!😁🐕🚙

Brilliant how versatile these set ups are jobs a good un ! It looks a bit like the single bed set up I have it’s perfect for a nap on days out getting walking boots on /off etc and the all important brew and toastie !! hope you enjoy some cracking days out spring is coming !!

You have my sympathies Bernie. I had a total hip replacement on the 1st December and I'm looking forward to doing some trips in my Belingo pain free and without sticks. Speedy recovery Bernie and hope it's not long till your first trip of the year

Good to see you back and glad you're recovering Bernie. I'm planning on converting my Berlingo and thinking that if the bench seat was a modular design - basically two sections - you could have replaced only one and therefore it might be more spacious as a day van? So many options!
Thanks. Felt good to be back in the van, if only for half an hour. Sounds like a plan. However, with our Chapel benches. If you were to cut them in half, it would make securing each individual bit a little unsafe. 🙂🐕🚙
The new layout looks good loving the swivel seat i got to get me one of them 😊👍
Thanks Will, it will be nice to finally get to use it. It really does open the space. Mind you, we'll miss the underseat storage spot, as the plate restricts it. Still always pro's and cons and we think in this case, comfort wins 🏆 🐕🚙

Good to see you back- you have been missed. Your adaptations mean I could have a single bed and two passenger seats for kids on trips. Can you tell me if one of the back car seats can be stored in the bed section? Looking forward to your future day trips!
Thanks 😊. Yes, would work well. However, we think the seat would be too large folded to fit in the side bench. You could maybe put it behind the remaing seat, where we've put the loo and then put the loo in the middle. Would restrict space though.🤔🐕🚙
Looking forward to some more of your adventures. Do you take the side benches out and put the seats back in for MOT?
Hi Robert thanks for watching and hopefully, it shouldn't be too long now. We didn't remove the kit for the last MOT. It just had an advisory, that the rear seats were removed. Not sure this month, as one seat still in but, its fully functional. May call the garage before we take him in.🤔🐕🚙
Great to see you all back in BUddy. Love the flexibility of the van. I take it you couldn't use both seatbelts when the back two seats were still in place ?
Thanks Ken Felt good. Yes, we could still use both seats. The belt for the central seat comes out of the roof over the boot area. Really love having this flexibility of the multispace. 🙂🐕🚙

The table rail was actually given to us, and we used the original leg post that came with the unit, but you can buy kits to include both the rail and an adjustable leg from Ebay. 🙂🐕🚙

enjoying your shows , can i ask a question i have a chapel conversion, behind the side rear cupboards there is nothing but window ,watching your conversion video i see you have a sort of black out blind ,did you have to buy the whole set ..expensive.. or did you manage to sauce some , my conversion is on a Peugeot tepee ... thanks sorry to be a pain .. keep up the great videos
Thanks for watching and your kind comment. Now about those blinds in the back of the cupboards. We were fortunate enough to have purchased a full set of blinds when we bought our original Amdro boot jump and we kept these when we sold it.
If you check out the following video ( if you haven't already) you'll see how we changed them. Personally, we think if you used the removed cupboards as a template like we did. Any thickest fabric...not so thick it won't push behind. Maybe one of those cheap ridged door mats, if long enough. Cut in the same way and wedged in would work, at a fraction of the cost.
