Jeep Compass WON'T TURN OVER EVEN WITH NEW BATTER. AUXILLARY BATTERY INSTALL 2018 2021

- this covers year 2018 to 2021 and some other years this is if you changed your main battery and your car still does not want to start it is highly suspect that it is your auxiliary battery or a bad connection Make sure to check all wires
Saved me so much time and money. Had no idea I had two batteries. Main battery made it to 65k, this one made it to 70k. Jeep wouldn't even try to crank, dash cluster wouldn't turn on, light would dim when pressing start. Replaced the Auxilary battery with AUX14 and it works as before. I did clean the ASD relay connectors for good measure, but I am confident my aux battery was dead.

Brother you literally saved me a trip to the dealership as my warranty ran out and for the 2nd time since we purchased this 2017 compass new we have replaced Both batteries twice now.
Apparently besides the engine burning 1 to 1 1/5 qt of oil in hot weather within a couple weeks it drains your batteries due to the set up and the start stop pos feature.

When installing BOTH new batteries, should I fully hook up the main prior to fully hooking up the aux or do both positives and then negatives for both? Thanks in advance

I changed auxiliary battery but after 2 days the same problem happened . I think my car not charging the battery? Am I right? or what is a problem? thanks for answering me.

If the alternator on the car does not work, you will be able to drive for 20 min, then it will die. I would change the bigger battery as well, if i were you :)

Yes but if one of them is dead/faulty, won’t it still drain the other one? Like they feed off of eachother sorta?
Can you boost the aux battery?
You can! When I put a jump pack on the main battery it wouldn’t even try to start, but when I moved the jump pack the the six battery it started up just fine.
Good chance it’s the ASD relay with corrosion on the leg or wire. Pull it out if you catch it early you can use a wire brush on the relay and dielectric grease. Relay box right by the wheel hub
On the 2018 I think it’s right under the hood?
