As a bengali, i can say,In 50's , 60's and even in early 70's we were playing good football, we even won the 1951 and 62 asian games, where there were teams like South korea and japan and iran but sadly we're still struggling and they are world class now.Then downfall came,but we are in rise now❤
We were always a mid footballing nation, haven't seen any indian footballer to play for big clubs like bayern, real Madrid , etc. The only closest was some guy from bengal who played for celtic which is not even a top 30 club in Europe

Watched the 2015 match in Guwahati which was my first match in a stadium in my life and since then started following Indian football when its rank was about 170 approx, but its only today that i knew about the importance of that match for this legend, thank you bhai for everything.

You should do a interview with 'Ranjit Bajaj' sir on the topic of Indian Football, he is the modern day father of Indian football. His team 'Minerva Academy' won "Gothia Cup (Youth club world cup)" recently in Sweden.

Also, I would request you to do a podcast with Anwar Ali, partner of Sandesh Bhai in defence. He was at a point in his career were he was told by the doctors that he had a heart condition and that he would never be able to play football, and today he is a regular in our national team. Our AIFF president and Secretary Mr Kalyan and Shaji Sir, the main people behind this new committee are also playing a very positive role. One personality that I would suggest you to invite is Mr. Ranjit Bajaj. He is the one working at the grass roots. His Academy, Minerva Academy, has produced big stars that play in the national team today. He has set a target of 2034 World Cup and is currently training young kids. His U14 team went to Europe and won the Gothia Cup, the biggest youth cup in the world. He will tell you everything starting from the skill and discipline in football to politics of football, everything. And again, THANK YOU SOO MUCH for doing this❤

I have tears in my eyes listening to him.i am a footballer all my life represented few clubs in my district and state not mentioning which state I belong to.i am in my 30 now ,I wanted to represent my country but not an excuse, me along with my football mates,we didn't know where and how how we could get recognisation(that oportunity).also no one talks about the injuries and rehabilitation for a player.from my club with right opportunity and recognition 2 under 19 players both male and female players selected for India zonal clubs.i request for the Indian football federation look into the grass roots and represent keen members not politically motivated

I have tears in my eyes listening to him.i am a footballer all my life represented few clubs in my district and state not mentioning which state I belong to.i am in my 30 now ,I wanted to represent my country but not an excuse, me along with my football mates,we didn't know where and how how we could get recognisation(that oportunity).also no one talks about the injuries and rehabilitation for a player.from my club with right opportunity and recognition 2 under 19 players both male and female players selected for India zonal clubs.i request for the Indian football federation look into the grass roots and represent keen members not politically motivated
So motivating for me as a young football player and i try to keeep in mind his words ❤
