I’m looking at this recap and I’m glad I haven’t watched Heartland since the end of season 13. The series has become about Tim, Lou and Peter. Funny when Graham was on, those 3 were no more than secondary roles . Now they are the lead roles. I can’t see this series continuing with them . Heartland has lost its way. And how funny that who ever is in charge is continuing to try and get a relationship for Amy. You can put whoever you want, but it will never be Ty(Graham Wardle). Can never duplicate the success they had.
Me also i really like heartland but it would be nice to see them go to church.

I agree. I thought this was a family show, and it on a "faith" Channel. I am super disappointed by this.

I don’t think they necessarily need to go to church, but they all sit around the dinner table and I would love to see them hold hands and say grace! I suspect they may loose part of their fans, the only thing I can think of.
YES it would be refreshing to have periodic reference to traditional church interaction or Seasonal church scenes such as Easter, Christmas, and other activities like a bazaar or other community fundraising.
They've only had that one Christmas episode and I think they need a Christmas episode every season

I hope malory and jake make repeated visits. I would like to get an update on Ty's mom Lily, Val Stanton,Ashley Stanton, and Soriya..Amy's long time best frnd. We haven't seen her since season 8 at the wedding. Tim should have never sold Big River Ranch.

I loved Ty, but it is way past due for Amy to find someone. Although I hope it is not the new guy shown in season 16. Love to see more of Mallory, Georgie and Lisa. I like Katie’s storyline.

I keep seeing in the comments people saying that they are disappointed, that they don’t go to church in the show. I hope most of you realize that this show is produced by CBC, not the Up faith & family channel. In fact that’s not where the show even started, it just moved to that channel in 2010. The show has never been faith based whatsoever. They talk about God every blue moon but religion or anything dealing with that has never been central theme of the show and never has been. It’s about the Horses, ranch life, life in a small but charming town, the people that make up that town and the central characters (mainly Amy).

OR we could have Amy wake up one morning and reveal that everything that happened in previous series was all a dream, just like in Dallas 🙄. Apart from being a lame storyline, don't you think it would be a bit creepy for Amy having her dead husband's twin wandering about the place?
I understand that Amy needs to move on, but the way they did it in season 16 was wrong and it was dishonor and teaching people wrong things.

I’ve been a huge fan since S1, but I think this ought to be the last season of Heartland. The characters have grown, but I’m tired of the personalities. Tim & Jessica need a house of their own, so do Lou & Peter. It’s just so unrealistic that they all dwell in just two homes. I thought Amy & Sam (the handsome former baseball star) would have gotten together by now. The arrangement Lou & Peter have seems so weird. They’ve strayed far from the original feel of the show. Won’t be watching it anymore.
I would like to see the child actor (actors) Lyndy replaced and recast. Cute kids (twin girls share this role) but the acting is not good, and it is really distracting in season 16. Most children that old no longer use baby talk, and you see at times the struggle to deliver the well rehearsed lines. It is super distracting.
Maybe Amy and Sam should get together.
It looks like you are not telling the truth you said several times that Ty wood be back and be a lover to Amy so what you have said is a big fat lie cause he has not been bright back

I just want to point out that Sam said this other party made a tremendous offer BUT he didn't say he took their offer. I think Sam values his friendship more than money. I guess episode 2 will see if I am correct

It’s a Canadian show so new episodes aren’t available here unless you have a vpn. The UP channel shows heartland but not sure if it has season 17. I have bought every season 1-15 online I love owning them. I love the ranch and horses, the people are just an added extra. I dream of having a place like the ranch and lots horses ❤
