    Got a basic red one...$23 delivered. I'm a major Bark River fan and knife maker and literally there are no faults here. Brilliant little bugger.

    I noticed on Amazon that there are a lot of idiots who buy the Mora 511 Carbon Steel knife and then call it crap because they are too stupid to take care of it and it rusts after the first use. My friend just got one of these and I like it a lot. Going to have to get myself one soon!

    Showing the new Eldris neck knife made by Mora of Sweden, a surprisingly useful blade for its size. To get the Mora Eldris, a Bayite ferro rod, or stock up on other Mora blades, check out the links list in the text description box :]

    At first blush a blade that short would seem like a ridiculous idea, but I can see from your video just how much control you'd have using it for bushcraft type tasks. I'm definitely interested.

    Seems like a great little knife. I keep hearing good things about it. More good stuff from Mora.

  • @rainmechanic
    @rainmechanic 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I seriously wish Mora would make a version of this with a straight scandi grind from tip to handle. It not only looks more traditional, it retains one of the grinds biggest attributes, a built in sharpening guide which allows entry level knife owners to keep and maintain a razor sharp edge on their "Puukko". Guaranteed it would outsell this dual grind version around same rate plain edge knives outsell their 50/50 serrated counterparts.

    • @cyriacfresiacompet6306

      Look at the new mora eldris light duty, full scandi grind and 10$ less expansive than the regular one.

    When you review work knives and edc blades it would be great to see you test it on fabric such as carpet, nylon or rubber to see how it preforms to daily construction/carpentry work. That being said you definitely put it through a proper hard test, great review, as always!

      Goof. Not like that. Bigger sheathed knives print, and people thing you're gonna skin them if they know you have one for some reason. It's annoying. And I have a small body, so every thing looks bigger than it does on other people.

  • @mikkowus
    @mikkowus ปีที่แล้ว

    Got the regular one. What I noticed is that the curved edge is really what makes it good at making feather sticks. On a normal knife, the part right next to your hand is straight so doesn't dig in very well. The steel is really soft so I got a lot of chips and it dulled pretty quick. The back side dulled pretty quick using a ferro rod too. If they upgraded the steel, it would be amazing. I wish they also made a version of this around 3" as well. I would use it as a super compact light weigh more all purpose knife that I could leave in my bag. I have a companion and classic etc. The companion is too big, and the handle on the 3" companion is too small and too dangerous.

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives
      @WeAllJuggleKnives  ปีที่แล้ว

      3 inch version would be great, I concur, with how ergonomic the handle is.

  • @MasterK9Trainer
    @MasterK9Trainer 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I guess your knives need to almost wreck themselves to check themselves for durability and edge retention. :) I fear the handle may still be too short for my hand, but I like it for carrying around as it looks rather cute and so non-offensive and non-tactical.
    I find the Gerber Scout Folder or the Schrade SCHF14 comfortable and use them to judge handle length. I do own the CRKT Minimalist which definitely feels too short although the little braided fob helps, I wish the handle was a bit longer.

    I especially likevhow you "abuse" the knife and do stuff "knives arent meant for..." lol. Anything to piss off knife nazis or axholes as I call them because they are usually ax nuts that still think knives have the very limited use of strictly cutting.
