The best Musketeer movie(s) ever. Perfectly cast and visually stunning. Relies a little too much on slapstick in parts but light years ahead of any Musketeer movie before or since.
John Bertrand Seems a darker tone at times as several characters from the first film met their respective fates (Constance, Buckingham, Felton, and Milady) and the revelation of Athos’ past with Milady.
Wonderful moment when Aramis places a kerchief on his shoulder as they push against the wall. Alas though, Porthos has now joined Athos & Planchet in the swashbuckling skies above..
I remember watching this when I was much younger. Maybe 7 years ago or more. I didn't realize that so many of them have died. This is one of my favorite movies.
Just 4 Musketeers, one is almost illiterate, other waiting to be ordained, next caring about nothing else then his prestige and last one drunk, and what damage they made. I'm sorry, I forgot about the servant. Love the movie.
Fun fact: In WW1, when the fighting turned into trench warfare, the French Army used crossbows as grenade launchers until they had perfected a grenade launching rifle.
I’m reading three musketeers for the 3rd time but I have not read the other books. And, I’ve only seen 1 musketeer movie. Which is this movie? It’s hilarious …
GREAT FILM ~~~ GREAT ACTORS ~~~ LEGENDS !!!

RIP Roy Kinear . Loved this swansong
This was Oliver Reed's best film, he steals every scene he's in either by a quick one-liner or just by brute force.

Great actor, a character indeed!
Yes, Reed was a brilliant actor and a great personality. A kind you don’t see in today’s show biz.
'push Porthos, exert yourself'. priceless

Love the movie.
The servant was just along for the ride and the vague promise he’d be paid for his work

As kids we used to fight with wooden swords dressed as musketeers 😂😂
My brothers and me were the same!
Inigo Montoya from 'The Princess Bride' was another inspiration for our childish fantasies.
