It's only June and it's been one of the best and most beautiful countryside summers I've ever experienced. I spend more time than ever in nature. We watch the cotton woods and yellow butterflies down by the river, go fly fishing for trout, sleep under the stars and continue renovations on our old a-frame cabin home. The days are long and dreamy, full of hard work and play. It feels like the summers I remember as a kid, but with a different twist.

Savor every moment because there is never, ever enough time. We bought our dream overgrown property 31 years ago and it seems like the time has flown by. We cleared paths, built gardens and raised lots of animals. Now our grandchildren explore these paths through the woods and we get to see it through new eyes all over again.
At age 52 I can say in my experience you will revisit discovering what makes you happy....often. Always keep searching.

Not sure why I started listening to you a lot of years ago but I am glad. Your journey from the tiny apartment, office in the city, Allie moving in to the tiny apartment, the cottage, the a-frame and all the nature. What a beautiful life you have. Thank you for sharing.
Now I missed the early years, and joined these guys just as they bought the house. I reckon the old stuff must be worth a visit though.
At 70 you’ll look back and wonder where the time went. Take time enjoying each other, and build that house. You’ll find that’s the one build you’ll enjoy most. Seems like yesterday my husband and I built our dream home, and rebuilt our old barn. Now we have great grandchildren, it’s wonderful,but seems only yesterday we were 30.

Please don't forget that an owl or hawk can very quickly and easily pick up a cat, especially a small kitten. There's nothing more heartbreaking than to see your kitten being carried away :(
I am more than sure they know how to keep there cats safe. Cats are not meant to be locked in doors.

I'm so glad Harper is recovering. Those 4 legged critters always fill ones life with love, laughter and contentment. This channel provides my husband and me with a life we would like to have lived, if we were younger. I'm almost 60 and my husband is 70 so taking on the projects and lifestyle that Trout and Coffee have is not attainable at our age, but we get to experience it through this channel. ❤

Gosh, over the last four months i've had some minor changes in my life and didn't have time to watch your videos.
But having watched the very first seconds of this episode, i've realised i've missed your channel so much. I've missed beautiful shots, your dearest and nearest people, your calming voice, the pace and the way of the narration and unique feeling of coziness each video gives. It's good to be back.
I live in South Florida which is rich in culture, very upbeat and resemble a Caribbean island. But honestly, I would trade my residence for where u live.

No matter the childhood experiences that life has afforded to each of us it seems as though we are able to be reminded of them through your stories. Your simple yet intentional attention to life is refreshing in a time when it seems like a lot of people live and share life in 15 second increments in an attempt to convince everyone that life needs to be lived and captured in that way. Thanks for slowing us down and allowing us to journey with you. I am 57 and today I was 13 again for at least 38 minutes and 42 seconds...time well spent.
