Your videos are a pleasure to watch. US is so big that it seems to me that you live in some kind of paradise compared to other US places I see in TH-cam. Thank you for sharing. Hug from Portugal.
Scheduled to buy my first Vespa (Primavera 150) in about 2 weeks and have been mesmerized by your videos. Cannot wait to get on the road in Richmond, Va!
Yes, I enjoyed the ride. The 2 cyclists looked like ants, once you pointed them out. I really love riding you area of the country. Got lots of photos but not videos. Got an idea for a ride planned this week with some different material as Alabama trees get a bit boring in videos. Hahaha. Thanks for your ride and hope your hands didn't get too cold!!!!
Thanks Willa. It’s pretty around here but I tend to ride to the same places, so I’m trying to get creative and mix it up a bit. I’ll be curious to see where you end up on your ride. 👍
Real nice vid. Thanks. I'd've thought u could've put the jacket under the seat and lock the helmet strap to one of those pins in front of the pet carrier.
Another great video! You’re a brave man leaving that high dollar jacket and helmet with your scooter! Must have been too early in the day for the thieves to be out and about! Nice hike and narration!
A beautiful day to ride, even if it's a little brisk at the start. Warmer gloves would make it a lot more comfortable. Looking towards Estes Park you can see the snow covered peaks. One thing -- you're giving the wrong impression of a Vespa rider. Vespa riders don't run! We're chill! *GRIN* I really enjoy watching rides like yours in different parts of the country. I was looking at Google Maps to orient myself to the location of Devils Backbone and found myself exploring a bit further to Steamboat Springs and on along US40 to Hayden. In 1970 my dad and I drove out there in our VW Campmobile to visit friends. The son was watching a flock of sheep in the mountains along Elkhead Creek. It was remote and took a long time to drive there on dirt roads. We caught trout in the stream for dinner and had a great time. Looking at the map now I see a big farm of some sort built there. And a state park and reservoir. Everything that was once wild seems to be developing. Oh well, progress. Another great video. Thanks for sharing the ride.
As you could probably tell from my breathing, I don’t typically run either! But a video of me just plodding along slowly would be boring. 🤷♂️ The level of development around here really is pretty incredible. In 1970 the state population would’ve been about 2 million and today it’s about 6 million, so it has tripled in that time. Back then people would just go camping, now you need reservations. 😂 As you say, “progress”…
Just put money down on a new Vespa 300 GTS Sport …in Red …..my Hubby bought one a few years back and has been going out on scooter club runs, after going out with him I just got the bug ! Always loved Vespa and Lambretta ….so from next week we will both have our own bikes and plan on touring northern Spain on them next year ! , In the meantime this year we will do some touring here at home in Ireland….travelling the wild Atlantic Way …and some camping weekends ….here’s to lots of adventures ! 🛵
Another excellent video! Great quality and very well narrated, most enjoyable. The Vespa seems very capable and looks fantastic, and I'm tempted to get another scooter, they are so practical. There's something about smaller capacity bikes that make them a blast to ride, your mind is free to enjoy the experience rather than having to concentrate on not killing yourself on a beast with bulk HP. I like taking my time and enjoying the countryside. In my mid-50's and I'd rather enjoy the scenery than end up being part of it (although I have been known to let rip occasionally!). Please keep the vids coming...
Thanks! It’s funny that you say this. As I was riding today I was thinking about the old saying that it is more fun to ride a slow bike fast and it is to ride a fast bike slowly. Somehow it is doubly true with the Vespa. 😉
Love it, looking forward to seeing some of it in person when I retire in a couple years and bring the GTS Super out to CO.....but couldn't you lock your jacket in the seat and at least secure the helmet via the peg?
Actually, yes. I guess I could have with the helmet. I totally forgot about the peg under the seat! I never use it. I typically just bring my helmet with me since it usually has my camera mounted on it. Duh! That was stupid. Not sure the armored jacket would have fit in there with the other junk that I had in there. But thank you for reminding me about little helmet posts. I had completely forgotten about them. I think you’re gonna love some of the riding out here when you come. 👍
Yeah, I realize that now. I had completely forgotten that they were there. Most of the time I have my camera attached to my helmet so I don’t ever leave it on the bike. For this video I took my camera off which is not typical for me. I’m gonna have to do a video on the helmet pegs just to make up for this.! 😂 Thank you for reminding me. It was pretty dumb on my part.
If I’m not mistaken you can lock the helmet by putting neck loop underneath the seat there should be a small hook near the hinges just put loop onto the hook
You are correct of course. A couple of other commenters reminded me of that too. I had completely forgotten about it since I never use it. Usually my camera is mounted to my helmet and I am recording with it, or wouldn’t leave it behind. Totally forgot those two little “posts” are there! I should probably do a video about them to make up for my stupidity! 😂
I don't know how it got it's name, though that kind of geological formation is sometimes called a "hogback." My guess is someone decided that this one was more like the backbone of some giant, mythical beast? Or they had, "a devil of a time" trying to climb it? Dunno!?!
Very enjoyable, that rattlesnake sigh would freak me out!,, the Vespa is lovely in orange
love your videos, your voice is so calming, Really like the fact that you make us visite along with you, so cool thanks again!
Glad to see you back on. Thanks for sharing
Thoroughly enjoyed as usual. Thank you!

I love your ride videos! My boys will walk in and say your watching a Vespa ride on the road? I say yep! Keep them coming!
Thanks! Maybe one day they’ll figure out how much fun it is! 😉

I really enjoy the Loveland / Estes Park area ,,, lots of beautiful scenery 😉👍
Really enjoyed this video. Thanks for showing us some new views of Northern Colorado.
My son Miles lives about five minutes from there off Leslie Drive. Nice to see you out and about again.
Thanks Michael! He’s in a pretty spot.

Beautiful ride and beautiful places...thanks for putting Celsius temperatures for us poor europeans 🙃😛🙃
I'm on the edge of buying a new one too, wanting the same model only white

I very much enjoy your rides on your mighty Vespa. Seems a little cold to start the day out? 🤔
Just comes with the territory. I’m used to it and don’t mind it really. Sometimes it is easier to stay warm in the cold than to cool off in the heat!
In the heat of summer looks like prime rattle snake area. Ever ridden over trail ridge road in August?
I haven’t. Is it covered in 🐍?

Native of Co removed. Add a ring on your helmet to attach to peg under seat and you can lock your helmet from the sticky fingers.

No, I’ve decided to keep this one naked. I like it this way.
Why’s it called that strange name
