Once you have lived in Okinawa you will never be the same. Okinawa is a loving and spiritual Island and everyone is so close to each other. Recently just moved back to the states and I cried watching this video. OKI ALL DAY
Thank you for this GREAT video. I did two tours and a MEU there and loved every second that my family and I lived there. My daughter was born there and all your scenes brought back great memories. Six years 6 months on Oki and I would go back if I could... Thanks again.
My new FAVORITE video! We lived there for 7 years and have nothing but great memories from there. My kids who were born in Okinawa love to watch the video from their home. Thank you so much for this!!
Okinawa Hollywood?! Japan has their own version of Hollywood? Or is it coincidence? Crazy how much American and Japan are inspired by each other’s cultures. Loved this!❤️🇺🇸🇯🇵
My son is the "cowboy", my daughter has the short brown hair and my oldest son was behind the camera filming most of this. As far as the clear intersection in American Village (Mihama)...they went at 7 AM on a weekday and it was pretty clear. Josh, I watched this for the first time today after you left for college and we already miss you SO much! It's a little bittersweet watching this today. Can't wait until Christmas...the kids can't wait to see what genius idea you have for the next one!
Dude, this is one of the best-made, funniest, LMAO things I have seen!!! Not to mention it makes me "Homesick", I spent 12 years (total) on "The Rock" and loved every single minute of it. I met my wife of 20 years there...oh, the good old days... ROCK ON!!! Mike Milton
(The daughter to the person that owns this channel) I cried watching this I was born in Okinawa lived there for a LONG time and miss it so bad I would go there in a heart beat
Okinawa rocks! I will always cherish the place. I consider that place my 3rd home (aside my hometown and current home lol). I was there from 2002 to 2007.
I used to live in okinawa back in the day, I pretty much grew up there. Seeing this vid brought back so many memories, especially the clips you shot in and around Hamby Town (it might be called something different now but thats what we knew it as). I used to skateboard on that same blue stage you were dancing on. Thanks man.
thanks for this, brings me back; american village; 4 corners; and the especially the people; I can't wait to go back in november to see try and win back my girl's heart;
I just got word that we are going back to Oki! Yay! Love this video by the way, watch it every now and then now when I'm feeling nostalgic. I'MA EAT SO MUCH COCOS!!
I miss Oki so much, this video brought back so many happy memories. I remember my sister showing me this video literally 10 years ago. Nostalgia hits hard.
Great Video! We were stationed in Okinawa two years ago and this really made us miss that place. Enjoy it while you are there because believe me you will miss it when you are gone.
What a shame that the Top Comments are so derogatory! These kids did something so positive and did it so well. My opinion - it reflects a very modern, upbeat and positive attitude that all of us Americans should be proud of. Lord knows there are Americans on island who are not presenting a very favorable image.
We visited Okinawa several years ago and wanted to move there but things didn't work out. Now my husband is active duty and we want to try again. Thanks for the great video.
I remember seeing this when I first got out here to Okinawa in 2010. Just came back home here after being gone since 2019, the amount of change that has happened since this is insane. RIP Ferris Wheel 😢
in my case im reminiscing about times in okinawa my dad was stationed there and it was so fun. i miss Tori station and mihama so bad. great job ive been everywhere in the vid
@JUKIO01 What do you mean "westerner?" Okinawa is a splash of the world and will always truly belong to the beautiful people of Okinawa. I was honored to call it home for more than 6 years and wish to someday return. Those were the happiest, healthiest and funnest days of my entire life!
This is a must see for anyone who has been in Oki. So cool to see so many familiar faces too. Josh, Rob and others. We miss Oki. Those who haven't had the Oki experience and can't relate with this video, keep your comments to yourself and let the rest of us enjoy it. A salute to you from the Peterson family!!
I hope these kids know how much joy they bring to so many of us. Reading these comments from over the past eight years should tell them something. I still watch this video regularly.
As a former resident on Okinawa (1972-75 and 1986-1990) I applaud their enthusiasm and wholesome representation of a people who respect and admire the Okinawans. Good for you and please do another video. I might be 60 years old and I might be considered an "old fart" by many, but rest assured, of this video and the people who produced it, I am a fan!
This really makes me proud of our military dependent youths in Okinawa. I can imagine the Okinawans were going crazy watching you guys. They love this stuff.. You guys are great. *Living in Tokyo, was in Okinawa from 05 - 09*
