Well, the lutefisk would never go swimming by because... it's lutefisk. So it's dead.

That's true. We Scandinavians are very much introverts.

These emigrant swedes are more swedish than me...fantastic how obvious it becomes when they really care about their scandinavian heritage

Americans, can you please stop saying "lefse" and "lutefisk"? Nobody eats that in Norway anymore. We eat pizza, texmex and hamburgers, mostly the same food as you.

@@karlenerobertson4455 lefse and lutefisk aren't what Norwegians normally eat anymore. These were everyday dishes, or holiday dishes, for more than hundred years ago. Since Norwegians no longer emigrate to the US, these old dishes got stuck as traditional Norwegian dishes. But here in Norway only old people still hang on these dishes. I have only tasted lutefisk when I was very young. Traditional lefse has I probably never tasted. And I'm kinda old myself (at least if you ask my kids). So it's kinda strange that (Norwegian) Americans have other traditional dishes than Norwegian themselves have :)

@@gobackintoit Exactly. We don't eat what some Americans think are common Norwegian (or Swedish) dishes.
