Mark, i had been thinking of how the germans tried almost everything to stop the allied bombers. My idea of a good way to shoot down enemy bombers is,...fly above the formation and drop large air burst bombs into the formation. DO YOU KNOW IF THEY EVER TRIED THIS?????
Mark, I have watched and enjoyed many, many of your videos. This is the first time I have ever given you a thumbs down, I do not understand why you would ruin a very good video with a LONG non skipable ad like this one.I hope this is a one off as I do so enjoy watching your videos but will have to stop if this is your new standard.
Just like watching you're vids. They're down to earth with not a bunch of b.s. conspiracy theories. Way better than the history channel. And I like conspiracy theories
Steamloco they’ve sponsored virtually every channel I watch, so I’m beginning to suspect I’ve been meta-diagnosed as the sort of autistic mouth breather who would love that shit
Its hard to get genuinely enthusiastic about something ya don't care about. Had i done it , would've been terrible. "Uhhh, now i have to this ad...vertisement for uhh a game i guess, anyways its a game called "raid" and aparently lots of people play it, hard to believe that but..I mean its hard to believe that morrre people aren't playing it. Anyways here's the game if you like it then fukin play it I guess." Now onto the video
@Sam Tanner What we have to remember is that the Germans when they came up with these ideas, they were under enormous pressure to succeed, without proper testing and no time to consider any possible weaknesses. They were losing the war, and the Allies were closing in on all fronts. No time to consider problems (although I'm sure the inventors attempted to explain these to their Nazi masters), get these wonder weapons out now; we need them now. If you don't do it, you will be on the Russian Front as privates.
I love how you always find something even crazier I never knew about WW2. This is almost as nutty as the Russian flying tank. Where you find your footage from, I don't know. Who would have guessed there were that many cameras in use during all these secret developments. The research you put in and detail in the videos is real quality stuff.
It caught me completely off guard. Not what I was expecting in a mostly straight laced history video. Man needs to get paid, though. Also, his reading of the ad is one of the better ones I've heard.
Can you imagine having one of those - army surplus - on a lakefront property? Driving out of the lake onto shore...you'd HAVE to be playing Mark's opening music.
The submarine reminds me of the "spaceship" in "The Three Stooges in Orbit." It was a submarine with tank tracks and a helicopter blade that somehow got them into Space as I recall.
Amazing it worked at all. Amphibious vehicles have always been kind of tricky to get right, and they managed to make a amphibious Submarine at least operational
But neither are accurate. "Panzer" is german for armor, and colloquially used for armored fighting vehicles. It was neither as even rifle fire would have chewed it up. The Germans would never have called this thing a "panzer". But whatever gets the clicks.
So incredible that this "U - Panzer" was a real thing, and I thought I knew a lot about weird Nazi weapons! Never heard of this thing before, amazing! Outsanding job again mr. Felton! This channel is pure gold
Have always loved obscure vehicles from WW2 and this one has always been special. Not many people know about it, probably because it is under the navy.
These advertisers are smart. They realize people use adblock and this is their way around it. Gotta give it to em. I disable ad block for channels like this that I enjoy so the content creator gets something for their time.
I absolutely love that you now have sponsors Mark. I will happily sit through their ads for your benefit. I have been an avid subscriber since around 30k subs. Both my sons (10 & 11) are now avid viewers. Keep it up champion, you are broching generations.

Mark your videos are far better than anything than history channel puts out and far more imteresring. Not to mention your voice is perfect for the job. Thanks for the upload.
Mark Felton deserves to make some money for his efforts. His videos are superb and valuable historical documentation. There's just no other channel quite as good at what he does.
First! I've never had a first post before! Actually I find Mark's delving into these fascinating little nuggets of history to be addictive. Thanks Mark and keep up the great work...

The Soviets in WW2 had a flying tank. Its was towed and then released, gliding to a landing. The wings and control empennage discarded, and the tank then supposed to function as a normal tank. I would like to see you do a video on that. Also, I seem to remember that the Soviets experimented with paratroopers jumping out of aircraft without parachutes, at slow speeds and low altitudes, to see if they could survive landing. Both projects were failures.
Love your work. Will you eventually be uploading a version without a sponsorship in the middle? The sponsorship won't make sense when someone watches this years from now in a classroom:)
