The $23/hr I mentioned I tend to get with Uber Eats nowadays after the mandate is a ballpark number, and it accounts for all the time (scheduled, not scheduled but waiting around, overall time while on the app, trip time, tips, etc). As you can see, it was a little convoluted given all these nuances, so I just left that part out of how $/hr can change depending on the factors I mentioned. For example, going just off my last week's trip-time $/hr for the week (including tips), it was $26.51/hr, with $24.33/hr for overall time, and that's just with Uber Eats. As you can see, it varies and depends on a lot of factors, which explains the $23/hr estimate I mentioned in the podcast. Just wanted to say that to make it clear, as earnings are important for those who are interested.
Here in California, we also have the hourly rate while still keeping the tips. Definitely welcomed. These food delivery companies will do anything to optimize their profits. Seems like they are still profitable now, which shows how much they were making before the government stepped in.
Grubhub there is a bit of a different. Lot less hours available if your are Pro Level but nothing has changed much for Premier Drivers. The biggest difference is the absence of catering orders on GH. I haven’t seen one since the school year ended.
Yeah, I mentioned how Grubhub was the only app of the three still doing the "old method" of pay-per-trip. I deleted it from the podcast because it was a bit convoluted. I do think those who are high stats with GH are making higher $/hr than Uber Eats, but of course with some caveats as its always been with pay-per-trip
Brice, you're super cool. Yeah, scheduling can suck but i think i really like it because we're always busy and not wasting time. I do it part-time after work on Thursdays and Fridays , i make a few nice extra hundreds per month 😊.
The mandate stared in December (it was supposed to start in july of 2023 but they went to court and appealed twice and lost both times) But this year has been better. I still get 5 hours because my schedule changed compared to last year. But the days i been working between June and now it's been decent. The planner started in January.

It’s definitely been active and the payment adjustments are SUPER CLUTCH

How do you get more scheduled times? I still only have 5 per week
Raise your stats. Do more trips

I think only big cities can do this full-time, and I think it was intended for part-time use like you're doing
