Hello from Alberta Canada I love your videos and the ideas on this post are awesome great ideas thank you, your hat is really cool too.I am painting my own rune set inspired my your fall / autumn video with the wood slices I love that idea and I’m making a rune set out of different kind of fruit and berry seeds another one of your ideas.Your such an inspiration and I can’t wait to see your next video have a great Yule
I’m so glad you’re making a rune set inspired by my video, I think the seed idea is really cool! Im From Central Alberta as well ! thankyou for your kind words, happy Yule to you and yours .
I've been a thrifty witch since I started my journey nearly 25 years ago! Dollar Store is a fave place, and thrift shops and flea markets are wonderful (cleansing everything I find from those spots before use of course lol), and luckily I have room for a garden so I plant what I can to harvest and use. When I was first starting out I had NO money so crystals were always a dream for the future for me, but I learned that I could get the same basic results from normal stones I found on my walks. If the rock felt like it was meant for a specific thing I kept it for that thing, the feeling and intention is key! So I had for a very long time a little pebble of shale for protection for example, it just felt like that was what it was for, and eventually it didn't feel like I was meant to have it anymore so I gave it back to Nature. Thank you for this video so that more pagans and witches can see they don't have to break the bank to practice, the more people that know the better in my opinion!
oh thank you so much for sharing, you're after my own heart. in my early years. there was nothing where I lived that remotely could be metaphysical of any kind lol. everything I collected was in the rain forests around me and in and by the ocean where I lived.
I didn't know Snake plants released more oxygen at night! Your story about tea tree oil reminds me of the time that the Dr. Bronners Peppermint castille soap that my mom used tipped and spilled onto the toilet paper. I come by as a 12 yr. old and use said toilet paper. Burning hooha was not fun and it put me off that soap for good, lol. Great tips, Cara! xo, Aurora
Hi Cara. Great list. I use to harvest tree resin from "Lärche" ( larch?) and "Fichte" ( spruce?) to burn on coal. Smells incredibly! My friend also gave me a "Baumperle"(tree bead?). Dont know the english word, sometimes trees have an injury and make wood over it. You can harvest this pearls, work on it with sandpaper to make it smooth. Here in Germany its used for the intention of healing. Blessings from Bavaria
There are 24 letters in the Elder futhark. As far as sigils go I like using Galdrastafir (Icelandic witchcraft sigils) and bind runes are very powerful too
Yay! I was checking earlier today to see if you had posted anything 😊 You're very lucky to have a witches market there, I wish we had something like that here. Im glad you made this list because so many people say the cant find/afford ingredients but they're only thinking of things specifically sold as "magickal" items. Im looking forward to seeing what you have planned for yule this year 😊 blessed be
Thanks, Cara that was wonderful! Got lots of great ideas now I’m not gonna be able to take my nap ha ha ha By the way, I finally made my pumpkin soup. It turned out wonderful. My husband loves it. It’s gonna be our new tradition. Anybody checking this comment out you have to check out her pumpkin soup. It was wonderful.😮
Ethnic markets are a great way to get materials for lesser prices or less altered items. When it comes to items like cloves or cardamon, go Indian or Middle eastern markets. I have some from this giant Indian market that even 3 years later still scents the area.
You are so right! You get much better quality for the price at those markets too! Ive bought some GIANT bay leaves at Indian markets, so cool you can write a story on one lol . thanks for the great tip ! - Cara
I've met witches whos wand was a fallen branch from a tree in the park that they widdled. I've met people with a mundane tallent who traded their skills for tools. It doesn't have to be fancy or expensive. If it works for you, it's all you need.
You are so fun to watch & it took me about 3 videos before I realized the paintbrush held your mic❣️😂😂😂. I kept thinking, why is she holding that paintbrush❓. Like when we were kids & would use anything for a mic. Anyway, how long have you practiced❓. I’m in south dakota and just started 14 months to do all the things in a ritual I’d been doing all my life.
lol I Love that you caught it, and the meaning :) It's just fun like when we were little lol . I'm 50 now and have been practiceing since I was 16. i'm like you I discovered I had been doing it all along and it just felt natural and right. thanky ou for hanging out with me. Blessed be - Cara
what I like to do instead of hexing I give all amazing luck and energy to all those around the intended target.. Instead of hexing the target, I'll have everyone around them doing well, but not them. it will feel as though their luck has changed, This helps anything coming back on you . -Cara
Great tips Cara! I love being a thrifty witch. I like using found objects, those are my favorites. Better for the planet, better for the wallet also ❤
It’s so fun to find treasures and give them new life, isn’t it?!
