You are doing awesome. I teared up in a recent video where you said you don't see yourself as fat now. I watch all your videos, I just forget to comment. But you are such an inspiration, I am now down 41 pounds as I start week 17 with three stone left to go... Thank you for your content x❤
Your videos motivated me to give this a go! 2 months in im 21lbs down all this with a spinal injury and severe sciatica so little to no activity. Before monjurno i tried saxenda, ozempic and nothing worked this drug is working a charm! Thank you for taking the time to document this!
Hi, I was on 10mg for a month just finished. Lost 6 pounds I am happy, however I am with two minds to go down to the 7.5mg it worked more for me. Going up and up does not mean greater loss I prefer to go back down than up.
Congratulations on the sale of your house! Such an exciting time for you! Right now, I’m going through my regular post-shot nausea which will last a couple of days. I’m in month three and it’s been like this since the beginning of Zepbound. Worth it, though! Zofran is my friend! When I’m feeling well, I go to the gym and watch your videos while pedaling the bike! So, thank you for your updates and all of your positivity!
Congratulations on your house sale . I’m like you I average 1.5 lb a week loss ,a couple of maintains and one 1lb gain . I’ve been so lucky no side effects after the first week. It’s coming off nice and steady and it’s amazing,I’m loving this journey x
Yay for the house being sold stc! 🥳🏠 I'm keeping everything crossed that this all goes smoothly and all the paperwork comes through on time - The Great Scottish Adventure is almost here! How are you getting on with your house searching? Have you got any in line to view or are you waiting until you're totally free before starting? This is so exciting! xx
Thanks hunny. We are keeping an eye on houses in Scotland but are tied until our house has completed. We are going up in a couple of weeks though so will view a few whilst we are up … eek xxx
That's wonderful news on the house! You and Glen must be so happy! Exciting times ahead! Congratulations as well on your weight loss and losing three stone! On my weigh in last Tuesday I lost another 1.5lbs - nearly 2stone 5lbs in 11 weeks. Week 12 going well with no side effects on my fourth week of 7.5mg. I bought another 7.5 mg pen for next week as I'm off on my hols soon and didn't want to risk extra side effects by going up a dose. I'll probably go up to 10mg when I finish. Really loving all your vlogs - they've helped me so much - thank you for them all. Xxx❤
Hu hun - Thankyou so much for your continued support. We are thrilled about the house. We can’t wait for next year and what that will bring. You are doing fantastic. I think you are sensible sticking on same dose for your holiday. No point rocking the boat is there. Have a lovely week xxx
Congratulations with the house sale, and well done with the losses!! Only lost .2lb this week, my first low loss but your video is motivating. Bigger picture I’ve lost 19.3 lbs in 10 weeks 😊
Your bigger picture is fabulous - totally the right attitude. All these losses add up to something fantastic. Thankyou so much sweetie - much appreciated ♥️
Well done 👏🏾 Marcea on the 3st loss🎉🎉🎉 and congratulations on the house sale🥳🥳🥳. Glad I’m on the 10mg with you now- started Friday. I’m struggling to keep food down. Having protein shakes for now. It’s still early days and keeping positive vibes ❤
Hey hunny … oh no … have you vomited on other doses? Hope it settles. If not get in touch with your provider to see about an anti emetic. Bless you 😭 Thankyou about the house/weight … I’m so happy xxx
@@ladymawa Aww! You are welcome 🤗. I have contacted the clinician and waiting for them to get back to me and I will be opting to remain on 10mg as need to listen to my body as never vomited before with the other doses. ❤
Enjoying your videos. Have lost just under 2 kg in a week on Mounjaro 2.5mg. I'm sitting here, very nauseous cause my hairdresser made me a cappucino & choc chip biscuit & I ate it. I had an egg on toast & white plunger coffee for breakfast 2 hours before. Live & learn. Should have had a cup of tea instead 😂
Well done on another loss however small that is 🥰 You're absolutely right about the small loses and keeping on chipping away. I've been on my journey since the beginning of August 2023, started on GLP-1's October 22nd, I weighed in this morning and drum roll.... I'm down 6 st 0.4 lb... and if I hadn't of slacked off for Feb and March this year and put 16 lbs back on, I would have been down 7st 2 lbs so that still makes it 100 lbs lost in 15 months 😇😂. I also broke through another stone barrier this week and finally my BMI is now 29.8, just regular fat down from fatty fat fat, BMI 44.3 . So to anyone out there with a lot more weight to lose than our dear Marcea, and thinking that it's such an overwhelming mammoth task, it can be done and just keep on chipping away 😍 (I am in no way belittling Marcea's loss, she has done brilliantly, but I do know how it feels to be faced with reality and comparing your road ahead ) xxx
I am so glad I found your channel! I am about 3 months behind you, just moved up to 7.5 mg. Lost 30 pounds so far. Love the drug and its impact on my life! Looking forward to learning from you! Even though I am six foot tall 😂 Different journey, but somehow the same.
Hi Marcea! I stumbled upon your channel recently-almost like it was meant to be! I’ve been enjoying your weekly and monthly updates while on Mounjaro, and I can’t tell you how informative they’ve been. Plus, I just love your personality! It’s funny because we’re the same age, and I’m currently about 3 stone heavier than I’ve ever been (thanks to menopause, cancer recovery, a lot of stress, inflammation, and a super busy lifestyle). I used to be a WW coach and trainer, so I know how to keep my weight in check, but things have changed lately due to the above. I’ve finally decided to give Mounjaro a try after six months of considering it. With my birthday coming up this weekend, I know there will be more eating and drinking than usual. When would you recommend I take my first dose? I have a busy job, so I want to avoid any side effects that might slow me down. I also have to work some Saturdays over the next six weeks, so I’m a bit unsure about the best time to get started. Thank you for your videos-they’ve been incredibly helpful! Best wishes, Nicky x
Hi hun …. Thankyou so much for watching and commenting. It doubts like you haves had a lot to deal with. I hope your health is improving. Mounjaro is going to help you in so many ways plus it’s been really effective against inflammation so you should see improvements there. I would say enjoy your birthday celebrations and then look to start a few days after that. It’s hard to recommend a day in particular - it’s probably going to be trial and error. Eating well will help reduce your side effects. I’ve had a pretty decent journey with minimal side effects and I honestly have not really felt dreadful at all. Early days you might feel very strong suppression and bloating but this does vary. I would say just give it a go and see. Good luck xxxx
Down 1.4lbs week 5, total loss so far 15.4lbs. I’ve moved up to 5mg since Thursday and feeling ever so slightly queasy but only a small bit. Managed to eat over 1000-1200 calories each day this week up from 850 which was a struggle due to zero hunger. Think I am adapting to it a bit better now. Well done on your 3st and the house sale.
Thanks hun. You are doing well!!!! That is good to hear about your calories - you have done well to increase them. I know how hard that is. Tracking helps so much though doesn’t it just so you can see where you are at each day. Wishing you every success for the rest of your journey 🫶🏻
Congratulations on your weight loss and loss of 3 stone and weight loss this week Onwards and upwards. Was watching eating my protein bagel with tuna, lettuce and tomato. Wow great news on the sale of your house. Next year new Marcia and a new house. Slim and trim for the house and for Scotland
Hi, I've come across your videos this week . I've just started my journey and had my first 2.5 dose yesterday . I'm abit confused what I should be eating ? My provider did say it should be high protein low carbs. I've been on Slimming World for forever so this is all a big change for me !
Hi there. You should definitely focus on trying to get enough protein each day as this will help prevent too much muscle loss as you lose weight. I personally think it is important to eat carbs. You will probably find your calories are quite low anyway and I honestly think that low carb will make you feel tired and possibly have more are effects. Track everything to make sure you are eating enough. I’d check back why they want you low carb. It’s quite common to feel a bit whaffy if you aren’t eating enough and your sugars can drop off a bit. Good luck. Everything in moderation is my motto xxx
7 weeks on mounjaro and have not lost weight other than an initial 1.5kg. Is that normal? Why am I not responding as well? Started on 2.5 then moved to 5 and due to start 7.5 next week. Please help.
Hi there. It can be frustrating at times. Are you tracking your calories? If so what is your daily intake? Lots of things can affect your weightloss however during the trials lots of the patients did not lose much on the lower doses. I would say look at your diet and just trust the process. It’s definitely worth sticking at it for another few months. Have you discussed this with your provider? Xxx
Oh what a babe 😘 ❤ you're so close to maintenance now! Have you decided what your plan is? I'm not sure whether or not to stop completely or titrate down. I've got a while to go yet 😂 9st is my goal and I'm 12st 4lb 🫣 xxx
Thanks lovely - you are such a sweetie. I’m deffo going to stay on and work back down the doses and then play it by ear. Good luck to you hun on getting to your target xxx
Fantastic news re the house and congratulations on losing 3 stone. I moved up to 7.5mg this week. I was really nervous. I felt nauseous for 3 days after but chamomile tea helped in the morning. I found if I then had my Actimel i felt better. Now it's the weekend I'm hungry at meal times. I even tried toast and poached eggs after volunteering at parkrun. I was so hungry but only managed to eat half of it. I don't know who was more surprised, me or my friend. Logging my calories etc and my daily average calorie intake is good. Just need to up my protein. I'm vegetarian so unfortunately the chicken is not for me. Lidl high protein drink gives 35g of protein so a good substitute, especially if I can't eat a meal. Finished my scarf and it's lovely. Lots of mistakes but the varigated wool and the pattern makes them almost invisible. Want to make a bobble hat next.
@@ladymawastill nauseous for a couple of days post injection. Managing to eat well otherwise. Although I was really busy at work on Friday and totally forgot to eat.
