I'm confused on how backing tracks work. i saw E minor in there, and that has an F# in it and does not have an F. so... what's the deal. how do you guys approach this? The title saying "C Major" backing track, I would assume (cas i'm ignorant) that i would be able to play the C major scale and all the notes should sound not out of key. Help me out here :P please and thank you!
edit: not to mention G has a bunch of notes that are in the C major scale. The G major chord only uses C major and A minor notes but, idk... I'm not really trained on any of this stuff.
I suggest - just play the A minor pentatonic: as it works with Aminor and CMajor, this tune changes basically between these two chords. So that works: also the c major scale !

+Matias Ocares Hi Matias! I see what you mean, that because the track starts in A Minor, it IS in A Minor, right? Actually, the heavier factor as to what key a song is in, is determined by the chord in which it ends, and in this case, C Major. :) Hope that makes sense! :) Sorry about the harmonica though.. couldn´t you just jam with it anyways? thats the relative minor, and actually a key of C harmonica would be a 5th away so you were probably playing in F or G
Play an F harp when playing cross-harp to a C major tune.
