Great tutorial man! I would recomend using a shop vac to vaccum up the plastic dust that came out from making the holes on the bin. Otherswise that will be on your beautyfull garder forever.
Thanks for the tip and I will pin this comment. I usually do most of my projects in the garage where my vacuum is right next to me lol. But I need to do a better job of making sure not to leave any plastic particles for all future projects. Happy gardening!
The sprinkler head right onto the water pump is genius. The only issue I see is the see through tub getting sunlight and it becoming a mess of algae and plugging up the pump and sprinkler head or making it necessary to do water changes more frequently than otherwise needed.
When you have a chance take a look at my channel under the youtube short section. I posted an updated version using a black tote with a yellow lid. But I made this version so I can record the inside of the unit. Clean the unit weekly as it will eventually will get dirty with algae. Thank you for watching and let me know if you end up making one of your own. I was able to get roots on my tomato plants in two weeks!
@@GardeningwithDave Nice. This was my first interaction with your channel so I will definitely check it out. This was a waaaaaaaaaay more affordable solution than purchasing the full cloning setups online, which is the route I have taken in the past and it always seems like the cover is the first thing to fail so that prevents me from doing my cloning indoors in the winter time until I can afford another unit or find some obscure vendor that has lids that fit those units. I think this would be the perfect setup for the spring/summer either in my greenhouse or on the back patio. Swapping out the sprinkler head instead of those expensive spray units just seems so much more practical and easy to replace if it gets all calcified or what not.
Hi there. I wanted to share a little secret that generates roots faster. Add about 1-2 tablespoons of fish fertilizer to your cloning station. Yeah it sounds weird and it smells like death but the plants love it 😂. My lavender is growing rooms in less than 5 days lol. But don’t forget to clean the little sprinkler filter weekly (or bi weekly because it gets clogged up a bit with the fish fertilizer). Tag me on instagram if you end up building on of these. My neighbor was kind enough to teach me how to design this cloning station. Thank you for watching and I appreciate your kind comment.
What did you think of this tutorial?
The sound quality is PISS POOR.
