Steeler fan here, love Bucky’s game. His running style reminds me of Le’veon. Bucky’s like a sawed off version. Different body types and Bell’s patience in the hole was more extreme but both have a knack for making dudes whiff, setting up blocks, and being dangerous receiving options. Neither had tremendous long speed either but their instincts, agility, and contact balance more than make up for it. Rooting for Bucky to keep ascending 💪
As a bucs fan his best comparison is with Warrick Dunn I believe ..........if he was faster he would be a cheat code but his quickness n football abilities make him great

Led the league in forced missed tackles and put up almost 1400 total yards, imagine if he was the starter from day 1. What a beast, Tampa finally has a genuinely good run game. I also love how many times in these clips you see Baker running downfield to try and help block, absolute team player right there. A lot of QB's will just sit at the line of scrimmage and wait for the next play.
His vision and shiftiness is great. It's that lack of break away speed that he is lacking. He'll get you that big play but it's not gonna be that 60+ yarder where he beats both safeties with speed. He's fun to watch tho. He reminds me of Marshall Faulk
Looks like a tiki barber type, balanced back finds the open space keeps his legs churning and gets extra yards after contact, good vision sets his blocks up and uses them down field, can catch ,not a burner but has good burst, that bucks oline is solid, good back that should get better, shifty moves in the open field against first defenders ,finds the grass
@kevinb707 He definitely doesn't have homerun speed he's very quick, very elusive in the phonebooth as we rbs say, also Super strong for his size. He's not running away from anyone though, that's why these highlights and his game film aren't filled with long distant td runs. His 40 time matches.
@thedjofdjssgt6527 Yeah, that's the ONLY downfall to his game. He does everything else flawlessly, honestly. He always gives defenders a poor tackling angle and jukes everyone out of their socks. He reminds me of Shady McCoy in that regard. Very very fun to watch. Haven't been THIS into a running back since Adrian Peterson if I'm being honest.
Really miss his elusiveness on the field for the Oregon Ducks this year. Glad he's tearing it up in the NFL for the Bucs though. While he may not always have the speed to take it the distance he's almost a guaranteed First Down when you need it most.

He breaks a ton of tackles, #1 in the league for yards after breaking a tackle. He may not have that brute force strength like Derrick Henry does. But he always maneuvers himself to give defenders a poor angle and keep his balance. It's insanely impressive.
Really, he needs to just figure out what's causing the root issue of his lingering foot issues from college and address them. Feel like that would improve his speed and help him sustain some of these runs he clearly is being affected. Just a thought.
Kid has a low center of gravity.... Bounces around like a ping-pong ball... What he lacks in speed he more than makes up for it in agility... Bucky has a long and productive career ahead of him. Just my $.02.

I think that’s why he was there in the 4th. Too many concerns about top speed but missed on his elusiveness and burst.
