Every event has a time constraint, meaning a Bo5 is just a waste of money. Also if you just had a fun pick for every game, it wouldn't even be fun anymore. That's why fun is meant to be once in a while. You also have to remember that they are still competitors. Even if it is still in the name of fun, they hate losing the most. That's why they will still try their best to win the match. A different type of example would be professional basketball and a regular pick up game. For professional games, they go into the game serious with the hunger to win. Pick up games are usually less serious games where they try to show off, practice some moves, or even to get away from something. If you've seen some pick up games, then you would know that the people playing will still try their best to win the game.
