Only ever heard of Chuck Berry Summer1958 and Johnny B. Goode. Then this film came to town!I was sold!Loved the music and started to collect records and learn about roots music.Never looked back and I’m nearly eighty now and shelves with records here at home are near to collapse under the weight of 78’s,LP ‘s and 45’s !!
Very unique and completely out of place having Chuck berry sing sweet little 16 at a jazz concert. I guess Chuck was available and a huge name and crowd puller at the time so as long as they paid him in cash he'd perform

Jazz On A Summer Day and Chuck Berry ... Why didn't they just let the camera run and run, film everything?

The band had no idea how to play rock and roll.
And Chuck gave zero fucks.
