A must for me to buy anything at this point is that I can use it for at least two different settings. This is why I often blend casual with smart wear. Can wear pleated smart pants with an oversized overshirt for a blend of the two. And I can exchange the overshirt with maybe a button up for a more formal look. Flexibility in clothing is HUGE.
this is funnily something ive already been doing now. I have only really been into stlye and fashion for the past 3 years, and now ive graduated highschool and been in uni for the past 2 years its nice to have reinforced.
I definitely regret choosing cheap alternatives over the better option, namely in boots. I could've just paid that $600 to get one pair of amazing boots, but now I have two $300 boots that I'm happy with, but not entirely satisfied. Maybe 1 out of 10 times I'll buy the cheaper alternative that actually satisfies everything I want out of a piece.
It's a hard skill to master. I find that just letting things sit in your checkout bag for a long time is a great method. I have things that are sitting for almost half a year now in a checkout bag. If it sells out then it sells out also and it just wasn't meant to be.
I currently have been looking into getting the Merz B Schwanen Shirt01 & I’ve been looking into alternatives but I know in the back of my head that’s the one I want & I will have the same issue of having cheaper alternatives that I won’t wear as much as the one I want
would you be able to recommend loafers with black pebble grained leather + chunky ish sole kinda like the blackstock & webber? lm looking for alternatives but cant find much
I feel into the habit of impulse buying for a while, it's such a bad way of buying stuff. I would buy like five things and really only wear two of them. I had this mentality of "i will save those for another occasion" as if they're special. Shouldn't buy things you're not going to wear, its clothes after all.
Thanks for the video James the most Genuine video I’ve seen in a long time.
Thank you!!!

Agreed!
Really enjoying the content lately. Recently picked up the Wythe Tencel Snap-Shirt since you've talked about it a lot. Super stoked to get it in.
Hell yeah!! Appreciate the love.
This was great to hear your thoughts. I’ve definitely tried to be more “intentional” with my purchases but still enjoy the thought process you take.
Thank you!
