Owerri Airport should be mainatained as a local Airport and an International Cargo Airport should be built in a strategic positon between Abia State and Imo State since both states used to be under the old Imo state. Portharcourt (Igweocha) Airport should also be developed as an International/Cargo Airport due to its proximity to the Seaport and also not too far from Abia/Delta State. We need 3 International Airports in the Southeast, one in Portharcourt, another in Enugwu and one in Anioma (Delta State) but all this can only work with a good road network/ reliable power to boost the economy.
