I love WTT, just really soaking in these teachings. I am challenged for sure. These are really life changing.. I have a burning desire to study the scriptures in the context they were written. Helpful for even watching the TV series The Chosen. Planning to go to Israel in 2022. Thank you for this ministry!

Andrew was part of John the Baptist discipleship group who by the way is the one who comes before the Messiah(Jesus). Now John gets arrested and now his discipleship group dispersed and Andrew as his disciple was now without a rabbi but before he was arrested John introduced to the people that Jesus is the Messiah. So Andrew went to Jesus and introduced himself and discovered that he had no place to stay (John 1:35-42). In the start of the Jesus' ministry he saw Andrew and his brother Simon Peter fishing but He called them and said follow me (Matt. 4:18-23)

My preaching of the Christ has been sorely lacking in the Jewish cultural context that helps elucidate so many truths written in the Gospel accounts. In particular, the rabbi-disciple relationship is now figuring more heavily into my teaching.
I was wondering, do you have any sources on the use of “yoke” as a way of speaking of the rabbi’s teaching and interpretation of Scripture? I’m having trouble finding any references to that usage of the word. Thank you for this series of videos, I’m finding them very helpful in my studies.
    Shalom.

@@WalkingTheText, thanks man, I'll check it out. You're channel was part of the journey I've taking into studying these things after I began watching "The Chosen". I've starting incorporating these concepts into my Bible class teaching and preaching and I can already see it making a difference. Many preachers like myself have been negligent in teachings this part of the historical context of the Scriptures, but I repent of that and I being doing better.
