- The American trumpeter Chris Botti (1962) gives an elegant rendition of the 'Concerto de Aranjuez' (Adagio), the masterpiece of the Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo (1901-1999).
With views of the city of Aranjuez, Spain.
Recorded in the album 'Impressions' ('En Aranjuez Con Tu Amor', 2012).

I've loved this song since 1969 , the first time I heard it! Such a perfect , and authentically emotional interpretation !
I had had a passion for great trumpet playing all my life; I have a few favorites of course, but Chris is one of my favorites, I love the way he controls the volume of his breathing and blowing on his horn, he can make the tone flow in and out from soft to loud and back to soft, which demonstrates great control! Thank you for posting this beautiful piece of music, the orchestra is superb as well, and the video is a very artistic presentation. Very nice.

This particular version is extremely well arranged. Naturally the wonderfully sweet trumpet sound of Chris Botti is equally unsurpassed, but it is the arrangement itself that is absolute musical perfection.
