As a 5+ year subscriber to Guitar Tricks I say this review is dead on. 7.8 to 8 out of ten is pretty accurate rating. There is a lot of content there, a lot of material. I have gone through the Core Learning System, plus acoustic 1&2 and blues 1&2. Completed several of the video lessons under Acoustic Style. I followed the acoustic path because I love acoustic guitar. I have improved in several areas, fingerpicking, strumming and other skills and techniques. Like he said the song library is mostly classics and older songs. Another thing he mentioned there is no Bass Tricks, Ukelele Tricks, etc. This is where Fender Play has come in handy. In the Forums you can leave messages and questions for some of the instructors. They are usually pretty good at replying to your post, comment, etc. They could do better with more R&B, Funk and Soul material. Overall it's really good. I will be a subscriber to both for a while to come.
Thanks for that review. I need guidance and exact learning roadmaps. Do you think this is the one? I can do Fender Play and this one. One on one in person lessons is still a little scattered. I just dont know. Thx DeepPiper.
Thanks for the great review. I am currently about done with the second beginner course and really like it. I did Justin Guitar before and actually preferred it, however he had his beginner 1 and 2 updated which i worked through, but the next level looked like it was from 1991 which was disappointing. But he is also an amazing teacher.
Thanks for the review. I have played for years trying to learn songs and never had a routine. TH-cam instruction is too scattered. Basic theory is a must. I am guilty of laziness. I need a routine and need to go in sequence. Hopefully this course will do the trick...haha..Guitar Tricks
Everywhere I search they say its $19.95 per month and that unlocks everything. I just went to sign up and it is $29.95 plus you have to pay as you progress! :(. Is this a recent change?
Is this only for beginners though? What if i already have a decent knowledge of guitar and can play scales, chords and am trying to get really good at guitar, not only chords and soloing techniques but also guitar theory, will guitar tricks teach me all of the above?
No it is not only for beginners - they have a lot of intermediate and advanced videos. If you're looking for the most comprehensive guitar resource, though, take a look at TrueFire - they've got the most video lessons of any platform I've come across

Is it any good, for an older late beginner, early intermediate player? They also need more older folk music from the 60s and 70s
I think GuitarTricks is great for people of any age to learn with!
Thankyou very much for this brother

Yea they recently raised their monthly price to $29.95
They should have a Black Friday sale right now for $99 for the whole year
