- The Jak and Daxter Complete Trilogy Movie was a bonus DVD given out by Sony in a special promotion, and gives gamers a recap of the Jak and Daxter series with a run of scenes from the game franchise. The 90 minute movie is about the exploits of Jak and his infamous sidekick Daxter, who also provides the cinematic narration.
Since this DVD had limited copies, there were many people including myself who missed out on this special bonus film!
Back in 2012, I remastered this same film which is one of the most watched videos from my channel. Using all the knowledge and experience I gained throughout these 8 years, combined with today's technology, the equipment changes and the available new material that we have of Jak today, I thought it was time to give this film the treatment it deserves, since it's the only Jak and Daxter film we have so far.
The film was remade from the ground up - The gameplay was re-recorded as accurate as possible so that the quality would be the same. The cutscenes were all synced frame-by-frame with the original visuals and remastered audio from 720p (PS3 Trilogy) and 1080p (PS4) which were then upscaled to 4K to give the viewer the best viewing experience. These methods fix the flaws of inconsistent colouring and constant quality changes both in visuals and audio.
Recreating this film from scratch was a lot of work and I hope that all the fans appreciate the dedication and time I've put into this.
This project is FANMADE and is NOT affiliated with Sony, Naughty Dog or Mass Media. I do not own Jak and Daxter.
This series always had a special place in my heart, and I would like to thank Naughty Dog for creating such an amazing franchise, and Mass Media for the gorgeous HD Collection as well as Sony.
This film is available in 4 other languages: French, Italian, Spanish and German

After watching this (even if I only own The Precursor Legacy and Combat Racing), Sony and Naughty Dog need to bring Jak and Daxter back on the PS5. I mean Insomniac brought Ratchet & Clank back with Rift Apart, but Jak and Daxter deserve a new game. The same should be said with Sucker Punch bringing back Sly Cooper.
I noticed there's some "remixes" or "re-orchestration" of some of the original tracks. Where can I find them?

This could have been just a compilation of cutscenes, but the fact they added Daxter’s exaggerated & juxtaposed narration/commentary, + gameplay footage makes it much more.
Not to mention this guy who then not only uploaded the original limited release movie. But then with remastered versions of the games and upscaling them, then gathered and edited his own footage with the audio commentary from the movie version. I wish this kind of thing existed for like every game with a good story.

When you replay the game when your old enough to understand all the small jokes it's perfect... also how when samos told Jak to find himself after being sucked through the rift, he meant literally 🤯
Gallonz ofFun Yes, this is why I love Jak II so much. There are so many details that you’ll easily miss and you’ll find out the more you replay the game. The script of 2 is just genius!
They really need to remake this legendary trilogy. The world needs more jak and daxter

Honestly I think Jak 2 hit home for a lot of angry tortured youth. His harsh demeanor after 2 years of constant torture really struck a chord with me. I'm not saying that we're on his level in terms of abuse but I can imagine a lot of hurt angry people can sympathize with his character development in this sequel.

Edit: Besides; if he wasn't remotely relatable despite his physical circumstances we can't relate to, then we wouldn't bother trying to relate to him. I just feel that a lot of gamers who loved this game, like myself, appreciate the characterization of someone who's been tortured. Because any human that's suffered any injustice feels that same rage and this isn't a perfect world. That's why Jesus died on a cross for our sins that we would be forgiven of the massive wrongs we all have committed to and before God and his creation. We are horrible at being humane xD.

Jak and Daxter is about to turn 20 years old this December. I will always cherish this amazing series and the great memories I have of this game.

Too bad Naughty Dog doesn’t like the Jak franchise and will never make Jak 4.
I thought all of the Jak games were much better than Uncharted ones. The mission variety alone in Jak 2 keeps things more in that game than anything in the Uncharted games. Which gets stale really quickly.
@@ECxTheMaster Naughty Dog have already stated that they still have people from the Jak AND Crash days. The president AND vice president of the company is one apparent example of this.

I was born in 2004 my big brother used to play this game on the ps2 and I had so much fun watching him. Now I never get to see my brother. Thank you for this. Even to this day in my opinion Jack and Daxter still has the best storyline than any other game.

I had this DVD as a kid with my game and sadly after multiple moves it got lost. Jak & Daxter will always be the best game ever. Its such a shame we'll probably never see another one created.

Wrong! The Precursors vanished long before the Ur-Quan developed as a space-faring specie and encountered the Dnyarri who enslaved them and pushed them to war against every other specie but NOT against the Precursors since they were already long gone! 😼

I want them to remaster the game again with a mode where we get Daxter's commentary just like this through the trilogy. He is a master storyteller afterall. I mean lets be honest. This is Daxter's story, Jak is just the sidekick.

We will see another Jak and Daxter game. I see the same gameplay and stories in warframe, destiny and halo. I may not play them much now, but the stories we experience affect the rest.

I remember my suprise opening my copy of Jak X and seeing an envelope with a disc in it. Thought it was a mistake of some sort but i threw it in and was greeted to this beauty. Very nice that it was remade, beautiful.

It isnt released. What seems to be a remix of it is Jak Attack 1 Demo because it has the same rhythm and part instrumental but not the exact melody.

Honestly jak and daxter is by far the best trilogy ever, I'm just disappointed that there's no Jak 4. I swear if they do come out for a ps5 or ps4 copy the whole community and us old guys and girls would cop one, even if they jack up the price to 69.99. I don't care this is the best game I've played since the the first ever copy came out. I cant even count how many times I've played over and over again. In my book jack and daxter has a special place in my heart since I've ever played as my first game. ♥ much love to naughty dogs. Rest in peace for the game author putting this masterpiece in the storage. 🥺

TPL is mixed PS4 with PS3. Jak II and Jak 3 is mostly Ps3 as they’re sharper on Ps3. If they’re remade, i would definitely do it!

Need Another Jak And Daxter Game

I once did a test upscaling a DVD rip with the software Topaz Gigapixel AI. It uses AI to restore low resolution images. When I cleaned up the video it looked better, but redoing the footage in-game upscaled is a better idea. You can have better widescreen where modern recordings capture details better then the original footage. The latest PCSX2 1.5.0 builds have eyes and shadows fixed and the Jak Games look great on it. Almost everything is fixed. A little risky but better then the PS4 emulation. With the hard work on the other REMAKE I'm really happy to see how awesome this one is! (Comment made before Premier).
Andy Jake Using such softwares to try and restore low resolution images was my initial idea but I do not own the original Trilogy Movie DVD and I had to work with very low quality video there is scattered online. This is why I used mostly PS3 with a few from PS4 combined. This is because few details were missing in some of the Ps3’s cutscenes in TPL. Would have liked to try the PCSX2 method but I’ve heard of some bugs and I didnt want to take the risk. However both PS3 and PS4 have their little downsides. I can assure though this looks the best way it can be!

GigaPixel has video upscaler now too. Slow as hell though and would take a month on to render this on a midrange PC

I remember Jak 3 is what brought me into the series. An uncle gave it to my siblings and I. I played the shit out of that game. Then I discovered Jak 2 and loved that one. Then I discovered the Precursor Legacy and fell in love again. I’m now 22 and I just bought a ps4 for this series again. Nostalgia has caused me to choose this game over all the other new releases on xbox I have
I don’t quite understand how all this was put together with the narration and all, but I absolutely love it all! The Precursor Legacy is my absolute favorite childhood game. This is the best video I’ve come across to tell the full story. I’m starting a let’s play of the original game and this video will be great to show my friends for the entire story! Thank you for this!
Tainro Im really glad you like the video! This DVD was originally made by Naughty Dog with Daxters voice actor back in 2005. I just remade the visuals with the remastered trilogy and the ps4 bundle and remastered the original audio :)

Such a brilliant video of the best game series ever, quick question how did you customise the font for your TH-cam banner? I'm looking to give my channel an revamp.
I didnt use any fonts. I graphically designed it myself years ago by first drawing the letters, scanned them then made them on photoshop to look like the Jak font. I still need to redo the banner with my updated high res logo. You can check out ottselesque font though - it was made recently by a fan which is quite nice and efficient

I wish there will be another one, its i think my first game ever, only because of jak and daxter on the ps2 i really got into gaming, its my favorite game triology ever, and even if jak X and last frontier are not really a naughty dog game, i even kinda loved them, i was jung and thought they were amazing because i saw jak and daxter again on screen, even if those 2 games are not well reviewed i still kinda enjoyed them not as much as the first 3 but i still enjoyed them

i remember the original video being what introduced me to the ps2 games. i only had played daxter from psp and 10 years later i finally bought a computer that could run well the ps2 emulator. it was the best franchise i've ever played.
The only thing that bothered in the series was white eco never returns...i guess yellow and blue eco doesn’t either. But white eco is cooler.

Love jak and daxter with a passion but even if we got another jak game it probably be similar to uncharteds play or something completely different
Now that Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy are getting ported to PC, the possibility of a new Jak and Daxter port compilation for modern consoles and PC is more likely than ever! Though the original trilogy emulate well enough in PCSX2, true native PC ports would be much preferred.

I have a distinct memory of my dad driving me home from GameStop the day he bought me Jak 3, and I couldn’t stop staring at the back cover. Jak 1 and 2 I got as random gifts from my dads co-worker at the time. Got them two along with a PS2 and like 10 other games. And that’s where it all began for me with gaming
