Lol I just back from work, and as soon as I saw this, im literally say, "omg yessssss!"
If you guys didn't know, Itaewon is kinda like not the cultural melting pot of Korea anymore because of the Itaewon Halloween incident. That long alley you guys saw caused a crowd surge and many people died from being suffocated or trampled in the crowd. Stephanie Soo has a video about it on her page.

I will point out that it's not really the girl's fault? It's a hospital, there would've been cameras and he would've been caught anyway. The only difference her calling the cops did is that he didn't end up commiting murder, and only got 3 years as a result.

Unfortunately, it was in Itaewon that the incident happened last Halloween killing 157 people, crushed by the crowd in a narrow alley. So, Halloween in Itaewon for the next few years will probably not the same.

another korean movie some of y'all might like, if you haven't seen it already, is 'The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion' (and part 2 which just came out this year)

sadly, Itaewon is not the same as it's shown in this drama anymore... last Halloween a really big tragedy happened and a lot of people passed away. Since them, the neighborhood is not the same...
I was there the night of the tragedy and I actually went because of Itaewon Class. It was the place to be for Halloween. I didn’t go down the alley of the tragedy but the whole place was crowded. The atmosphere was amazing but there wasn’t any crowd management. I’ve heard the neighbourhood is slowly getting popular again but I know Halloween will not be celebrated in Korea again for a long time.

Thematically it would've made a lot more sense for the dad to make the son kill a dog instead of a chicken, but if that happened EVERYONE would've rioted.
