Gm mam , I have a doubt about [Ode-Q.4] mam regular ode to pindaric ode ko kaha jata hii. Aur Iska Ans Horace ode bataya hii aapne. Mam ans. To sahi he lag raha hii. Bas aap isko Dobar explain kar degi kya. Ya mujhe text se he Bata dijiye
Dear child, Pindaric and Horacian both are regular odes. Horacian ode has regular stanzas while Pindaric ode has strophe, antistrophe and epode. An irregular ode follows neither the Pindaric nor the Horacian pattern.
Dear Junaid, if we read the history of ode in various books and also on Wikipedia, we are given three types of odes-- Pindaric, Horacian and irregular. It means that Horacian ode is alongwith Pindaric is to be categorised in the section of regular. So I think you and me both are right, the question is wrong😀
Madam please conform the 4 th answer about regular ode also called as .... Regular ode Dorian ode The pindaric ode .. But you told horatian ode ..please tell me the answer
Dear Yadav ji, you yourself are a teacher and you know well how many controversies and complexities are there in English literature. Actually Horacian and Pindaric, both maybe called regular but the odes of Horace are of simple nature because they don't have the complexities of Strophe, anti-strophe and epode.
