Greetings from Norway.
My first boat had a single cylinder gasoline engine built in 1930 with magneto ignition.
My second boat had a "modern" two cylinder engine from 1960.
Indestructible engines that never failed.
Norway used to have more than two hundred boat engine manufacturers along the coast.
Today all of those manufacturers are long gone, but many of the engines are still in service.

I love those old engines. I should build a “putt-putt” skiff before I get too old.
