I really enjoyed this video and it's reminded me that I do really want to get a Kruseling doll for my collection. The first time I ever saw those dolls was in one of your videos and I think that they are so cute and it's amazing how articulated they are for being so small.
I agree Crissy family doll’s are so unappreciated & underrated. ..All of them have lovely sculpts, gorgeous eyes, and awesome fashions . That line was ahead of its time especially in diversity .

I really enjoyed this video. Oddly enough, my 2 oldest daughters, 19 and 20, and I were just talking about the Novi stars yesterdays....we still have the ones they had when they were younger. They love them and don't understand why they weren't more appreciated either. We love the glitter girls!! My youngest girls, 9 and 4, adore them.. We have 12 glitter girls and pretty much all of the accessories. They are adorable! The entire accessory line is amazingly inexpensive and is compatible with our other 14" dolls, Welliewishers, Madam Alexander, Heart for hearts, etc. I personally prefer the new ones. The newer ones do not have sleep eyes. I just prefer the newer face mold and find it much more attractive. We don't ever utilize the bendable limbs....they look odd when bent and I don't want to degrade the rubber. Your list was great and reminded me of some dolls I haven't thought of in years :)
I collected Pinky Cooper, too! I still have my original Chrissy that looks just like yours, and she was my favorite growing up. Such a pretty face and hands!
What a fun video! I had Crissy as a kid. Unfortunately, I don’t have my Crissy anymore, I need to get one! I love so much that you mentioned Berdine Creedy dolls! I absolutely adore her dolls and I have several. I bid on 2 or 3 at the virtual Modern Doll Convention but was outbid on all of them! Berdine is such a fun and sweet person, I’m so happy her dolls were on your list.
A lot of great choices. I collect Crissy and have one Kruesling. I never knew about the Asi dolls and now I want one. I also want a Maru. And I agree with you about Pinkie Cooper. I thought she would be a hit.
The Madame Alexander Marvel Fan Girl collection made for Toys R Us (although that also might be a function of the fact that Toys R Us went bankrupt in the US). They were released right before Toys R Us declared bankruptcy, and they really got the short shrift. Granted - the Black Panther doll is going for crazy resale value on eBay, but the rest you can still find pretty cheaply. I think I honestly spent about $20 per doll for the other three new in box.
I do not have any of the dolls on your list but the ones that caught my eye would be the Kruselings. They remind me of the Lottie dolls, though not the same value . If I were to choose an underrated doll line it might be the Madeline dolls from the books by Ludwig Bemelmans. They come in different sizes and some in plush. I think they are very cute and are definitely a play line doll. I have several but am still missing a few of the complete line. Eden Toys was their original producer and those dolls are the best quality. I am enjoying all your fun video subjects. Thanks for the work you put into them! i
I've had several of the Madeline dolls from Eden and you're right, the quality is great! I've sold them all on eBay because they definitely are swift sellers.
The Asi doll is adorable. Maru and Friends are pretty, but I don't often get bigger dolls. I have one Kruselings, Pinkie Cooper 's friend Pepper, a Little Miss Matched fashion, and donated my only Novi Starz. They came out around 2012. Pinkie Cooper had potential since they reminded me of animal bjds, and I think with some tweaks to the face, mainly the eyes, they could have been much cuter. I think Moxie Teenz was underrated, but MGA has since made similar lines just smaller in size, like Project MC2 and Rainbow High.
I was also surprised that the Pinkie Cooper dolls didn't take off. I thought that an anthro doll like that would be popular. I thought it was cute that they were dogs dressed in the same kind of fashions that trendy girls who carried dogs in their purses would wear. They disappeared from stores so quickly that I never got a chance to get one for myself.

I always feel like the thing that I love the most is the one that gets discontinued but I often have quirkier tastes. My new favorite thing in the play line doll world is Cave Club dolls and I'm afraid that they just won't last because I see them getting a lot of hate or disinterest from adult collectors.
I think they are all very cute dolls. I dont know why someone wouldnt want to collect them. I had the first Crissy doll when she came out and she is very pretty in the face. I also have about 5 of the glitter girls, i didnt know who they were when i got them but i thought they were just so darn pretty and i love the size of them. I look for them now but not with much luck. If i find one or a Crissy i will surely grab it if at all possible. I just love those little alien type dolls i think they are so cute and yes i would collect them. Thank you for sharing this and i certainly agree with you about them being under rated.
I’ve been in the doll business for nearly 60 years and in the last 10 years this business has tanked. There are not nearly as many collectors out there any more and little girls rarely play with dolls any more! Antique dolls barely sell at all or they sell so cheap compared to 15-20 years ago.
I loved the original monster highs and lost interest when they changed their faces and articulation. You have lovely dolls, some I have never seen in my whole life
I remember when monster high first came out I thought they were neat but I did not expect them to be the hit they were....and then I thought Pinkie Cooper was gonna be huge!! I guess my Doll Radar is way off 😂

AH I'm so glad you said Pinkie Cooper!! When I first saw them I needed them so badly, and was so sad to see them all flop. I have a bunch mint in box that I'm holding onto and one I have as a travel doll for myself. Lovely cuties! If they are anything like Peteena or the Cat Walk kitties, they tend to really appreciate in value after flopping hard! They even had a brief online animated series - I heard somewhere they were the most expensive doll produced by their parent company and Pinkie was named after the designer's dog.
I was sad they flopped too! I read all about them when they came out and was so hyped!!! Apparently now though they sell for quite a bit on eBay, so at least people are waking up to the amazingness 😍
This was an interesting video! I love Novi Stars a lot, I wasn't able to get any when they were briefly on the shelves but I hunt for them now (there's some novi stars fashion super cheap on amazon right now btw). They're so unique and its a shame that they never got popular. Those Pinkie Coopers too! Those are so cute, they should've taken off.
That is a wonderful video! I love to discover new dolls. The Kruselings look wonderful, I am looking them up. Regarding Little Miss Matched, I never had one but I have a Maudlynne Macabre and she's on the same body, I was so sad that she was discontinued, too. I adore her and I really like the size. I also got to thinking about Moxie Teens which I had a couple of and sometimes regret parting with.
Moxie Teens are another great one for this list...I have had all of them at some point and I do wish I had kept at least one, although I did keep their fashion packs for other dolls 🤣
I think pinkie came out at bad time. Too many dolls being released too quickly . But I agree I loved her when she came out! I used to have one but gave her to a friend who collects anthro dolls .
I am looking for Kruselings. I was so disappointed the Karito Kids did not take off. I find their faces just beautiful. The other dolls on the list are Gene Dolls, the Ashton Drake ones and Sindy dolls from the UK. I have just found Tiny Kitty Collier by Robert Tonner, she is an excellent size for travel and very smartly dressed.

I love your videos, I love seeing other dolls that I don’t know about. I love my Krueslings, only have two. I love the Asi doll, definitely going to look at them online.
Come to think of it, I've even seen a Chrissy in the thrift store here. Glitter Girls with straight legs! Yes! The Hudson's Bay here had them right up til last year, both them and the bendy leg ones. I still kick myself for never buying a Novi Starz. But I don't remember ever seeing any articulated ones here. And I had stuff going on. Yeah, they weren't around for long. I've never seen them at the thrift store, either (I confess I don't love glitter). A little finger combing might help your light up girl look better. Dolls I think were under rated, besides these, were Only Hearts Club (I REGRET giving mine away, and they had such beautiful faces), and Catwalk Kitties (which never came to Canada, and now I can't even find them by googling, and I really really regret giving away the one I had bought from someone in Europe, too). My Friend Huggles was also underrated.
Asi does are so pretty. They are popular in Europe but, because they are so inexpensive as most Spanish dolls are, they tend to be bought for children. I have three, all imported from Dolls and Dolls online.. store. They are easy to buy and some can be bought undressed for as little as twenty euros, around $24.
I forgot about Maru and friends dolls... I have wanted one for ages. I'm also smitten with my Burdine Creedy doll (hope I spelled it right) I love her so much. And I didn't even know that they exsisted before I got my doll. The kruzlings are one I kind of want too.
Thinking of underrated dolls, I just recently learned about Girlhood Journey dolls. I found two in a store back to back for a really inexpensive price, but didn't buy them. They seemed interesting because they come with their own storybook about them and their historical time. I am definitely drawn to dolls that come with a book and are set in the past. I just love those kind.

I love and collect Novi Stars and Pinkie Cooper dolls. Some of the Novi Stars are now very expensive second hand. I have found a Pinkie Cooper this year in a car boot sale. It is the first time I see one in a boot sale. I have also found the Novi Star you showed in your video with the purple hair in a boot sale a few years ago. She is adorable! ;-)

I have a couple of the Pinky Cooper dolls that I bought when they came out, I think they are very unique and very pretty dolls, and I have a few of the Novi Starts, I bought a couple when they came out because I liked them a lot, and then later on I bought a whome bunch when they put them in clearance.😃🎉
Your Novi doll is expensive here in UK. I saw on Ebay they were about $55 and I did see a hair style Curl and coil pack that was about $93. They must be gaining in popularity now. :) I meant to say last video... Congratulations on the 10K . (Its gonna get a lot faster to gain subs now you've reached that number. ).
Maybe I know one , but are really tiny dolls >>>Ivy dolls I think they named them.They are tiny with blue eyes and a cute smile.Eyes are not painted and actually they come with a hat from a fox, foxears or something like that , my granddaughter has one , we call her sophie .The face is really cute.

I love how you always tell us about unknown dolls. Well I knew about the Kruselings, but I'm not usually drawn to dolls of that size. After watching you talk about them, it peaked my interest. Just from the video I can see the quality. They seem comparable to the AG mini doll, kathe Kruse seemes to put more quality than AG. Not bad mouthing AG. That's just how it looks to me. The Asi doll was just adorably cute. Had no idea of their existence. They still sell these, but A Girl for All Time seems kinda underrated. They are a small company and newer (not super new anymore), but at least where I live, you never hear about them and their stuff is not common in the secondary market. I'm sure there's reasons for that. I also think the ALife if Faith dolls were underrated. Part of that is because they only sold a few in christian bookstores for a very brief time. But I always wanted those dolls. Their hair, eyes and faces are just so sweet. Then my third would be the beautiful girlhood dolls. Well there's a reason those aren't around that I won't get into. They had great quality dolls because their first run was made by engel puppen, but th e later ones were made by gotz. These along with the life of faith dolls are so hard to find and very pricy.

@@MunecasPoupeesDolls I understand. When I first saw them, I thought they had a different look. I decided to try them and they are impressive in their own way. The dolls themselves seem like sturdy good quality and I love their glossy hair and eye color. I was a bit disappointed with the clothing. It's very thin and cheap feeling. And for one of them the shoes did not fit the doll at all. I had to force them on. It was very frustrating. They have their charm, but I wouldn't say they are my absolute favorite.
I watched this video as the first of the stuff you present. And I have to say I simply fell for one of the dolls that you had shown here. That dark-head Maru and friends doll is an absolute beauty. Where can one get a doll like her still? I had a look online, and the few Maru and friends dolls that I saw did not do it for me at all. In case you are wondering, my wife and I do sewing, and I am currently working on some very nice furniture (yes, I do woodwork also) for my wife's American Girl whatever 18 "doll. She is beginning to get a really nice collection of bedroom furniture. So far there is a nice vintage style bed, bedside table, linen-kist, 2-door wardrobe and I am still working on the dressing table. But that Maru and friends is really like the ultimate , she looks nice, great size to do sewing and woodwork for, and yes, that face is pure art. I love her. Where Can I find one like her please ?
I've never seen the darker skinned Tonner miss match doll, she is really cute I had one and I'm not sure what I did with it I may have sold it but I totally would have kept that one. And yes the Novi doll were so cute I have one of those and a Pinkie cooper Pepper Parson...so many fabulous dolls.
She used to have a pair of glasses too, but my niece snapped them in half when she was very young 😂 I hope when I can return to flea markets I'll find some more Novi Stars 🤞
In my opinion the most underrated BJD I've seen are the Hujoo anthropomorphic line, the mini 1/12 scale ones are more popular than the 1/6 scale ones which I love. I have Pheobe which is a mouse and I think she has the sweetest face, even without a faceup. The body is pretty good too even though I would change some things. The three they made are all super adorable even if Freya and Freyr have the same face mold and different bodies. It makes me sad cause I have been struggling to find clothes for my pheobe but luckily I have found barbie and blythe clothes fit pretty well albeit a bit big.
The novi stars that you have are underrated. I think they ended in 2014. Some novi stars go up to $350+ We got all of them (24 dolls) for $800+ not in box, so that gives you an idea. A DOLLAR FOR ALLIE! WOW thats great! My favs are justina and vera! :)
I checked after the video and it seems they are quite popular now, along with Pinkie Cooper! Too bad people didn't appreciate them when they were still available 💜
Do you recommend buying any doll from ebay, npo matter price range? I have seen their fashion dolls (Mizi dolls, Integrity dolls) for sale there, sometimes cheaper than at a doll dealer store. Although I'm scared to buy from there because I'm terriefied of being scammed if I pay for the doll and it never comes.
I try to be careful because there are a lot of fake dolls of BJDs on eBay but as far as buyer protection it's really good on eBay and I've never had any issues. Just would steer clear of most BJDs there.

I regret the one I bought and gave to someone. I never got to meet the doll, went without to pay for her. And they sold her pretty quickly afterward. I can't remember which one it was. Innuendo, I think.

This was an interesting video! I love Novi Stars a lot, I wasn't able to get any when they were briefly on the shelves but I hunt for them now (there's some novi stars fashion super cheap on amazon right now btw). They're so unique and its a shame that they never got popular. Those Pinkie Coopers too! Those are so cute, they should've taken off.

That is a wonderful video! I love to discover new dolls. The Kruselings look wonderful, I am looking them up. Regarding Little Miss Matched, I never had one but I have a Maudlynne Macabre and she's on the same body, I was so sad that she was discontinued, too. I adore her and I really like the size. I also got to thinking about Moxie Teens which I had a couple of and sometimes regret parting with.
Moxie Teens are another great one for this list...I have had all of them at some point and I do wish I had kept at least one, although I did keep their fashion packs for other dolls 🤣
I think pinkie came out at bad time. Too many dolls being released too quickly . But I agree I loved her when she came out! I used to have one but gave her to a friend who collects anthro dolls .

I am looking for Kruselings. I was so disappointed the Karito Kids did not take off. I find their faces just beautiful. The other dolls on the list are Gene Dolls, the Ashton Drake ones and Sindy dolls from the UK. I have just found Tiny Kitty Collier by Robert Tonner, she is an excellent size for travel and very smartly dressed.
You know, I *almost* put Karito Kids on this list.

Come to think of it, I've even seen a Chrissy in the thrift store here. Glitter Girls with straight legs! Yes! The Hudson's Bay here had them right up til last year, both them and the bendy leg ones. I still kick myself for never buying a Novi Starz. But I don't remember ever seeing any articulated ones here. And I had stuff going on. Yeah, they weren't around for long. I've never seen them at the thrift store, either (I confess I don't love glitter). A little finger combing might help your light up girl look better.
Dolls I think were under rated, besides these, were Only Hearts Club (I REGRET giving mine away, and they had such beautiful faces), and Catwalk Kitties (which never came to Canada, and now I can't even find them by googling, and I really really regret giving away the one I had bought from someone in Europe, too).
My Friend Huggles was also underrated.
Only Hearts Club is a great addition to this list! Beautiful dolls and they were in discount stores EVERYWHERE here, so sad!

Asi does are so pretty. They are popular in Europe but, because they are so inexpensive as most Spanish dolls are, they tend to be bought for children. I have three, all imported from Dolls and Dolls online.. store. They are easy to buy and some can be bought undressed for as little as twenty euros, around $24.
I think they're so wonderful! As a collector, I collect both playline dolls and "collector" dolls if that makes sense 💜
I forgot about Maru and friends dolls... I have wanted one for ages. I'm also smitten with my Burdine Creedy doll (hope I spelled it right) I love her so much. And I didn't even know that they exsisted before I got my doll. The kruzlings are one I kind of want too.

Thinking of underrated dolls, I just recently learned about Girlhood Journey dolls. I found two in a store back to back for a really inexpensive price, but didn't buy them. They seemed interesting because they come with their own storybook about them and their historical time. I am definitely drawn to dolls that come with a book and are set in the past. I just love those kind.

I have found a Pinkie Cooper this year in a car boot sale. It is the first time I see one in a boot sale. I have also found the Novi Star you showed in your video with the purple hair in a boot sale a few years ago. She is adorable! ;-)

I have a couple of the Pinky Cooper dolls that I bought when they came out, I think they are very unique and very pretty dolls, and I have a few of the Novi Starts, I bought a couple when they came out because I liked them a lot, and then later on I bought a whome bunch when they put them in clearance.😃🎉

Your Novi doll is expensive here in UK. I saw on Ebay they were about $55 and I did see a hair style Curl and coil pack that was about $93. They must be gaining in popularity now. :) I meant to say last video... Congratulations on the 10K . (Its gonna get a lot faster to gain subs now you've reached that number. ).

Maybe I know one , but are really tiny dolls >>>Ivy dolls I think they named them.They are tiny with blue eyes and a cute smile.Eyes are not painted and actually they come with a hat from a fox, foxears or something like that , my granddaughter has one , we call her sophie .The face is really cute.

I love how you always tell us about unknown dolls. Well I knew about the Kruselings, but I'm not usually drawn to dolls of that size. After watching you talk about them, it peaked my interest. Just from the video I can see the quality. They seem comparable to the AG mini doll, kathe Kruse seemes to put more quality than AG. Not bad mouthing AG. That's just how it looks to me.
The Asi doll was just adorably cute. Had no idea of their existence.
They still sell these, but A Girl for All Time seems kinda underrated. They are a small company and newer (not super new anymore), but at least where I live, you never hear about them and their stuff is not common in the secondary market. I'm sure there's reasons for that.
I also think the ALife if Faith dolls were underrated. Part of that is because they only sold a few in christian bookstores for a very brief time. But I always wanted those dolls. Their hair, eyes and faces are just so sweet. Then my third would be the beautiful girlhood dolls. Well there's a reason those aren't around that I won't get into. They had great quality dolls because their first run was made by engel puppen, but th e later ones were made by gotz. These along with the life of faith dolls are so hard to find and very pricy.
I do find the Kruselings to be a better quality than the mini AG if that helps 💜

@@MunecasPoupeesDolls I understand. When I first saw them, I thought they had a different look. I decided to try them and they are impressive in their own way. The dolls themselves seem like sturdy good quality and I love their glossy hair and eye color. I was a bit disappointed with the clothing. It's very thin and cheap feeling. And for one of them the shoes did not fit the doll at all. I had to force them on. It was very frustrating. They have their charm, but I wouldn't say they are my absolute favorite.
I watched this video as the first of the stuff you present. And I have to say I simply fell for one of the dolls that you had shown here.
That dark-head Maru and friends doll is an absolute beauty. Where can one get a doll like her still? I had a look online, and the few Maru and friends dolls that I saw did not do it for me at all.
In case you are wondering, my wife and I do sewing, and I am currently working on some very nice furniture (yes, I do woodwork also) for my wife's American Girl whatever 18 "doll. She is beginning to get a really nice collection of bedroom furniture. So far there is a nice vintage style bed, bedside table, linen-kist, 2-door wardrobe and I am still working on the dressing table.
But that Maru and friends is really like the ultimate , she looks nice, great size to do sewing and woodwork for, and yes, that face is pure art. I love her. Where Can I find one like her please ?

I've never seen the darker skinned Tonner miss match doll, she is really cute I had one and I'm not sure what I did with it I may have sold it but I totally would have kept that one. And yes the Novi doll were so cute I have one of those and a Pinkie cooper Pepper Parson...so many fabulous dolls.
She used to have a pair of glasses too, but my niece snapped them in half when she was very young 😂 I hope when I can return to flea markets I'll find some more Novi Stars 🤞
In my opinion the most underrated BJD I've seen are the Hujoo anthropomorphic line, the mini 1/12 scale ones are more popular than the 1/6 scale ones which I love. I have Pheobe which is a mouse and I think she has the sweetest face, even without a faceup. The body is pretty good too even though I would change some things. The three they made are all super adorable even if Freya and Freyr have the same face mold and different bodies. It makes me sad cause I have been struggling to find clothes for my pheobe but luckily I have found barbie and blythe clothes fit pretty well albeit a bit big.

The novi stars that you have are underrated. I think they ended in 2014. Some novi stars go up to $350+ We got all of them (24 dolls) for $800+ not in box, so that gives you an idea. A DOLLAR FOR ALLIE! WOW thats great! My favs are justina and vera! :)

Do you recommend buying any doll from ebay, npo matter price range? I have seen their fashion dolls (Mizi dolls, Integrity dolls) for sale there, sometimes cheaper than at a doll dealer store. Although I'm scared to buy from there because I'm terriefied of being scammed if I pay for the doll and it never comes.
I try to be careful because there are a lot of fake dolls of BJDs on eBay but as far as buyer protection it's really good on eBay and I've never had any issues. Just would steer clear of most BJDs there.

I regret the one I bought and gave to someone. I never got to meet the doll, went without to pay for her. And they sold her pretty quickly afterward. I can't remember which one it was. Innuendo, I think.

I just don't see Shirley Temple when I look at that doll. Marlo and Friends is beautiful, but her body seems a little awkward. Pinkie Cooper is pretty, but that's definitely a niche doll. Great list!
