Yes, at first glance Candy Crush Saga may look like just another Bejeweled copy, but trust me when I say that it is so much more. King, the developers, took the basic premise of Bejeweled and then raised it to quite another level. I have been, and still am, a fan of Bejeweled, but Candy Crush Saga is more fun because of the many new awesome dynamics infused into the old game. It is VERY challenging and I love the fact that there are objectives to fulfil in every level. Also, almost all my friends play it, so the social aspect is pretty cool too. I don't get the appeal of this game. I played it for a few minutes and thought it was a nice time waster. Then I had lost all my lives and it suddenly became obvious what was going on. This is nothing but a cheap cash grab. How do people not see this? It doesn't surprise me one bit that they are fighting with the dirtiest tricks they can come up with to eliminate competition. It's the only way they can survive. Other games offer the same things but for much less money, often for free. And, to be honest, most of them have been around for longer, too. So much for protecting intellectual property... What baffles me the most is that people do not simply play one of the other - actually free - games available that offer just what this one does. Do yourself a favour: if you get addicted to a game, at least try to play one that doesn't suck you dry quite as blatantly obvious as this one. It'll make you look a little less pathetic in the eyes of your peers.
Simply waste time on another game until your lives refill. Then play the rest of the game without spending money and recieve help from friends or simply make fake accounts to progress further. You don't have to spend money if you don't want to, it just makes it take longer.

I've not played this, but Frozen Freefall is exactly like this, right down to the game mechanics. If you're slightly older generation, say around 2001 era, you'll also know the Popcap game "Bejeweled" :-)
On a Beta version, it does not shuffle when you have no more possible switches, like on moves levels. When you have no more possible switches, you immediately fail the level instead of a shuffle.
