All three nicely done, each having their own leaning to. Each has a nice definite style to them. Quite enjoyed their evolving. Years ago with another artist we climbed the opposite mountain to paint the view of the Athabasca glacier from the top of that mountain. It was quite an experience as my friend, she had quite a large canvas strapped to her back. We also went right on the glacier to paint the moulins [ice holes] further up from where the buses dropped visitors off to say they walked on a glacier. It was August and we were in full winter gear to be prepared and the tourists were in shorts.
Wow, what a great story! We're also hoping to get on the Glacier to paint when summer returns. I guess we would really need to prepare for a winter style trip even in the summer months. Thanks for watching!
Cannot thank you enough for this video. Awesome and inspiring for me. I hope someday others will look upon this video and the art created and know how vital and important it is.
If I didn't know better, it looked like Cam was painting in gouache, rather than acrylics. And unless I'm mistaken you did a little trick someone showed me a few years ago - painting the back of the canvas to keep the light from bleeding through. It doesn't totally solve the problem, but usually helps enough to make things work. So do you take turns watching for bears while the others paint?
Actually Cam is painting in oils. :) Bears are always a concern. We tend to paint fairly close to each other in bear country. We have definitely see them, but so far no real problems. Thanks for watching! :)
