I can't believe that in all my trips to Edinburgh I had never come across the Abbeyhill colonies! Thank you so much for sharing. Very happy to hear your mum is doing better :)
PS. I'm pretty nosey and I've always thought that it would be brilliant if walking tours in cities like Edinburgh included a little wander through someone's (historic) home. :D
