Finally watched this movie for first time, because of this video - it's definitely an overlooked sci fi classic with incredible "virtual reality" existentialism themes, but kinda broken, i wonder if the production had troubles. this editing really tightens the story they were TRYING to tell in the movie - i knew the love story before I even saw the movie, and this video does it better even without dialogue.

Usually when I see this comment I roll my eyes, but this video truly DOES deserve to be seen way more. It's a masterpiece of editing and emotion.

Notice the intro is the Ennis House by Frank Lloyd Wright, same as Blade Runner's Deckards Apartment interior. very iconic and obvious, but still.
