I'm currently using the one you have and I'm having a problem with it because of the quality of the audio, it's a good mic though, it's audible for the consumer however, for the growth of your content creation as you mentioned, get a DJI Mic Mini (2TX + 1RX + Charging Case) with a windshield (essential when shooting content outside, in malls, and other noisy area's) DJI also has a beautiful noise cancelling switch, it gives a very clean sound. Price tags (R3,199) For the Rode Wireless Go is quite more pricey, probably about 50-60% (R11,999) more than the DJI but that is top tier for content creation, the range for the mic to the receiver is about 70m however with the DJI it's much more further pushing up to 250m which is very convenient. Just remembered, the sponge you mentioned is a pop filter / windshield. It helps filter out wind noise and also filter out the B's and P's in your speech when talking. You'll start to hear the difference if you shoot the next video without the sponge.
