How to install an E series handle on an Eaton EG series circuit breaker | Galco

To begin, make sure that both devices are set to the OFF position.
Place the handle mechanism on top of the circuit breaker and cut the wire tie off of the handle.
If you are using a 24” kit, you will also screw your bracket into the two components at this stage.
Now test that the full range of switch motion is available.
Remove the covers at the bottom of the bottom of the handle to access the breaker thermal adjustment and push-to-trip-switch.
This is also where you will connect your safety wire.
To install the external handle for use in an enclosure, cut the included shaft to length according to your measurements and drill a hole into the shaft per the included instructions to fit the cotter pin.
Now insert the shaft into the handle, making sure that the pins are parallel to the handle.
Next, insert the cotter pin through the handle and shaft.
You can now drill into your door as specified in the included instructions to attach the external handle.
Test the handle to ensure that it moves in its entire range of motion
