    Just so you know I will have to watch this guide every single time I upload a new game music pack! Just uploaded my second pack and I needed the guide... again 🤣 Thanks a lot for making it!

    dude this is such a great tutorial. You have the personality of "one of the lads", which is a rarity in the realms of nerdy tutorials. Actually fun to listen to verses the usual "hmm is this guy gonna shoot up a nightclub"

    When I want to publish music for the Unity Asset Store, do I need to license the music in my name? Or is it enough to just upload it to the Unity Asset Store? Also, do I need to share it on platforms like Spotify? Looking forward to your response, with love...

    • @makegamemusic
      @makegamemusic  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's been a while since I last uploaded so things may have changed, but I uploaded under my business name so you should be able to call yourself what you like. You do need to fill out a tax form in order to get paid though. And no, you don't need to link anything to other platforms (though it might be wise to to get more sales). Hope this helps!

      If I ever do that myself, I’ll be sure to record a video. I seem to remember you have to make a brand new version each time, they don’t make it easy!

    Hey! Great tutorial! You mentioned that you don’t create any of the cover art or the different styles of graphics. Could you share who does that for you?

    • @makegamemusic
      @makegamemusic  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      At the time I used premade art from some stock art website. These days I use Ai image generation. A lot of people use Fiverr to get art, but nost of them are using Ai these days so are just acting as a middleman.

    A question, what is the best way to upload additional songs to a pack? I've seen the upgrade option but should the new version contain all the tracks or just the new ones? Major or Lite version? I intend to offer my upgrades for free to increase the value for existing customers as well as new ones.

    Good tutorial! A bit of a hazzle it seems when it comes to the upload process, but I'll guess you get used to it after some time :) Question; I have music that might work wel for videogames, however I'm using Content ID on my tracks (Identifyy), is that "allowed" when it comes to the Unity Asset Store?

    • @makegamemusic
      @makegamemusic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers beebee! I don’t see why it would be a problem but you’d probably have to warn the buyer. I’d probably contact unity support too just to confirm they’re fine with it.

    They need a separate option for music and images that we don't have to have the whole engine for!!

    Unity rejects my music because I have not set up a publisher website. Which websites does Unity support? If I set up a website from Godaddy, will the problem be solved?
