I got these despite the mediocre reviews since I was just looking for a minimal shoe for bodyweight/speed training, but they don't feel minimal at all... They feel like a basketball shoe with how high up you feel, but with less lockdown than an actual ball shoe. I'm probably gonna end up just using them as a lifestyle shoe now.
Thanks for your review, as I was looking to get a pair. I solely go to the gym for group bootcamp/crossfit type classes and weight work and with my bad ankles and feet I've yet to find a 3/4 high type shoe to cover my needs. Please let me know what you'd recommend? Thank you
Too be honest, I think the nano x would be a better option than they Metcon free 3. Out of the two I wear my nanos more regularly. Also I’d factor in your footwidth as well. I need the wider toe box because the Metcon is a bit too narrow for me.

I was VERY surprised by how great these were (but admittedly I do power bodybuilding workouts and not CrossFit). Super comfortable and stable.
