I'm sure others have already mentioned how the song's message is about consent - specifically, how it is affirmative consent when it comes to relations and intimacy. What I think is also really cools is how the lyrics are more or less gender neutral and sexuality neutral, with the message thus working every way without assuming or implying the speaker or listener's gender. Everything is more or less metaphorical and hence doesn't objectify the person (i.e. it doesn't comment about their body, appearance, clothing, etc). CONGRATULATIONS GODDESSES FOR THE WORK OF ART.

I think the song and the MV was to get rid of the bunny image, the boy image, the cute image, etc. Looks like he wants everyone to finally realize that not only is he a human being, but that he is a grown man. In one of his lives, he spoke of his military enlistment and how he was going to be more manly when he returned. I had a feeling that he was going to go here, so I wasn't really all that surprised. I was a little shocked of the one word change in the explicit version, but as he's proven, he's a grown man. He can say and do whatever he wants, so no judgement from me. 💜
