Always curious why they made 'em front wheel drive. Probably handled great in the snow! 👀
I'm not sure why they went FWD with Oldsmobile and Cadillac. I imagine it had more leg room all around. I also heard from some older mechanics that they were hard on front end parts.
@@NathansMoparGarage They were hard on front end parts. You had to replace them quite often. A lot of weight on that front end.

1973 (although you said 1972) model year with the VIN for the win: 6 for Cadillac, L for Eldorado, 67 for two door convertible, S for 500 CID V8 with four barrel, 3 for 1973 model year, Q for Clark Street, Detroit, MI assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Clark Street plant closed in December of 1987 and the last days of operation can be found on YT.
We got the tag, we can brag: ST73 for 1973 model year, 6EL67 for Cadillac (6) Eldorado (EL) two door convertible (67), FWD for Fleetwood Body plant, West End Ave, Detroit, MI with final assembly at Clark Street, 453 for White leather with blue carpet interior trim, 24 for Antigua Blue lower exterior paint, A for White convertible top, 09C for the third week of September 1972 production, A65 for split back front seat, E for remote RH outside mirror, Y for six-way power seat adjuster, L for automatic level control, F for carpeted floor mats, K for intermittent wiper system, I for trunk mat, C for cruise control and J for twilight sentinel.

@@NathansMoparGarage Always go by the VIN to win (both the door and the dash) and the tag for the brag. When you don't get the tag, we're sad and without the VIN we can't win.
