Hello from Fiji Sir. We call this 'Dalo Patti' (dalo leaves) here for the root crop that is grown from the roots of this plant which we also eat. We make a saag type sabzi here which we call 'Dalo ke Bhaji', we make it without any haldi or masala, we add coconut milk to that, and it becomes another dish which we call 'Rourou', it is very delicious eaten with the boiled root crop of the same plant or boiled cassava or even rice. Finally, we also make patra here which we call 'Saina", we make it with urad dhal for the inside paste and we usually only use besan as an outside paste when frying, it is very nice and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Pathrodde in Mangalore with a little lengthy process of soaking dals,rice & grinding it with red chillies,spices, tamarind & jaggery. Then fevicol & steaming, shallow frying all same. Steamed ones can be prepared like a dry sabzi , cut in to small pieces & added in a tadka of mustard, curry leaves, garlic,hing. Garnish with scrapped coconut & coriander leaves.

Must try And in Bihar we call this कोपल का पत्ता.
