    Everything you said about the Dobyns fury 795 and 806 is spot on! I have both rods and the 806 is by far my favorite! It's affordable, well-made, and parabolic enough to keep fish pinned! I use my 806sb more than my Megabass Levante Leviathan F10-711LV which is twice the price of the fury swimbait model. Great Review!

    Man I can't even imagine the excitement and energy that would be oozing from a little bass hunter boat with you and Epic Eric on it. Haha. Great footage at the end 😂

    I just bought a Jenko Savant a few weeks ago and put a Daiwa Tatula 200HD on it. Makes for a very nice combo. Been keeping my eyes open for a good deal on a tiny klash and had to take you up on you’re offer. Thanks.

    That's some great information not normally shared. Thank you, I'm just starting this glide thing out and have a St Croix glass 7' 10" from years ago that seems to handle a 6th Sense glide okay. It's too dang heavy though.

    One of my Favorite (small) swimbait rods is the new Shimano 7’3” SLX A swimbait rod. I use it for the Gantarel and Baitsanity gill. I fish from a kick boat and float tube. It’s allows for precise placement of the Bait if need be.

    I just got my TKs from Mike Tuesday and I almost got around a 4-5lber from the bank at Bear Lake. I had three that were following it. I finally ran out of water and got hung on a tree but the big one almost came up and swiped it off the tree. He was coming in hot for sure.

    F5 x Swimbait Universe collab rod is the best k9 stick on the market, it works for the TK too but really shines for the k9. The 795 doesnt cut it for the k9 imo 4 ounces is really at its top range

  • @fiSHINsanity
    @fiSHINsanity ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Actually it's not that you want the rod to bend when the fish shakes and pulls, you want the UNLOAD of the rod to be delayed, so that there is constant pressure on the hooks so there's less slack in the line, when the fish throws slack at you by jumping or throwing headshakes at you. If your rod is too fast, when the fish jumps and throws slack at you, the fast action rod springs back too quickly and actually allows the fish to put slack in your line.
    I also agree that the Dobyns 795 is a very good rod for those 1.5-3.5oz glides. It's also one of my favorite Alabama rig rods as well.

      My 806 was way under powered. Great for 2 to 3ish oz lures but 4 or over is just too much. Could barely toss a deps 250 on mine. But great for TK and the citizen and battles shad. Wish they made an 807.

    • @thesonorandesertangler

      @@matthewotis3594 I throw the Klash 9 on my 795SB. Does it load up the rod? Yes! Has it broken it? No. It bomb casts it too. Most Americans aren't used to true parabolic rods and don't feel comfortable loading them. I follow guys who throw 6 oz on the 806.

    • @matthewotis3594
      @matthewotis3594 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @thesonorandesertangler k9 is fine. It's when you start throwing 250 and up lures. K9 doesn't weigh 8oz. I have 2 fury 806s and a few big baits. The baitsanity 250 knock off is too much. It's not supposed to 'load up' down through the handle and make weird sounds. Up to 5oz they're great but 8oz is bullshit. Just my experience though. To each their own. It doesn't like the 7" BAMF shad either. But it's a superb rod up to 4oz. Got an okuma guide select for my heavy stuff. Double footed guides to the end. Great action but it gets heavy with my lexa 300 throwing plus size swimbaits. The 806 is great for the citizens and battles shad though I can throw them on my Ark Invoker pro mag med rod as well. I flip and throw big jigs on my 806s too. Great parabolic bend from half to 4oz. 5oz and up it's loading up too much for me but hey, who am I.
