I was lucky enough to try Claire's espresso in the UKBC before covid, and it was absolutely delicious, and this sounds even better. Great to see her doing so well on the World's stage.
I’ve now watched a number of the performances. In a competition that generally seems to reward virtue signaling and nauseating pretentiousness rather than actual coffee making (and the coffees themselves), I found Claire’s presentation to be rivaled only by Anthony Douglas’s in its sincerity, passion and engagement. Indeed, without the benefit of being able to taste these coffees, it’s not possible to make any kind of final determination. But for sheer presentation, how can one not prefer this earnest celebration of coffee and craft to Morgan Eckroth’s annoying condescension and crockery smashing histrionics (all I can say is, her coffee must have been just outstanding).
I liked Claire's presentation the most. She sounded the most natural out of all. Congratulations on winning 3rd, Claire!

How she was able to memorise the speech and deliver it while making the coffee was really impressive.
Amazing. Yay for highlighting the potential of fermentation! What a feest of complexity 😊🎉
