Grea video,,, my father Van Hilliard, has just been awarded the 2018 #1 World Cup Qualifier Los Angeles ..... He's in hes seventies , a former prostate cancer survvior, and a good man, a bird lover and breeder since his teens. It would be an honor to recognizes him this late in his life as a guest or even an interview.... Kits and birds & food are available
Loz, I send you in the gmail cloud a photo of the installed boxes. Next question for the next job. What is the distance of the roof over covering the box? If it is too much later on will get problems installing the device for showing them the surround while the are closed into the box. Thanks again in advance for all your help and advises!
Adrianus P.M. Heersche Hi adrain I just read your email and sent reply, the roof on these boxes covers the front about 3 inch I made an allowance for this when i made the roof cage. cheers.
Spurgeon Chapman hi and thanks. you can make these any size, These were 6 foot long and around 33 inch high and deep. 8 foot long is probably a better size I was just limited with space cheers.
Spurgeon Chapman as above they are all approx 6 foot wide 33" x 33" two of them can be divided in half and can hold 20 birds in each side although I have 20 birds in the whole box to give them more room. cheers.
I think it was march when i started and went through september, bred alot of birds and still have most of them so put a halt to the breeding for the next couple of years.
Awesome boxes. I want to have all of my boxes just like yours. I don't see any perches in with the nest boxes. How long do you keep the pairs locked in the nest box?
Thank you, we get snow now and then not that often but it does get cold around 24 F or -2C in winter, the boxes have insulation on the inside to keep the worst out.
My tempratures are probably about like yours. Although it does get into the high teens (F) once in a while. Do you use styrofoam sheets for insulation? If not, what to you use? I am worried about the birds eating it. I know that chickens love styrofoam insulation.
Hi yes i use it for insulation for the heat and cold its a good barrier, it is polystyrene the birds have pecked at it above their heads on the top perches but they dont eat it
Mate I'm from Birmingham I want to build one of this kitboxes for about twenty tipplers how much you think it will cost me to build one just like yours for all the wood and mesh roughly

Hi there got some rollers at last 2 pairs and 2 cock birds should I keep them all together or should I separate them. Also can you make a video on breeding rollers from start to finish thanks.
Hi i had pigeons about 3 to 4 years and i have had about 2 to 3 bird over the 3 to 4 year and i was wondering what wood the frame is made out of on the kit box and where did you get your breeding boxes and if you are selling any can you let me know thank you
Owaisss Hus Hi there, I bought all the wood at the builders yard its just plywood and planed softwood. i made the breeding boxes from plywood too and made the fronts again from timber i bought from the builders yard. Sorry i dont make them to sell them.
