Taking a break from my usual Darwin Fishing and hitting the McArthur River, which i would consider some of the best fishing in the Northern Territory and the world.
This is a 3 Part Series from a recent fishing trip I went on that I called "My Island Home." I have previously uploaded each episode seperately, but thought it might be a nice idea to upload all 3 into one long episode.
I brought my new Shimano Saragosa with me for blue water fishing, and all my other gear for the usual Barra Fishing.

See that big bloke in front of the camera? Yea, that's me. G’day folks, I’m Mikey Cunningham. I’m not only the bloke in front of the camera, I do all the work behind the camera too. I mostly make fishing videos.
I live in Darwin in Australia's Northern Territory. Also known as the "Top End." A lot of my older videos are from the Gulf of Carpentaria, when I lived in a little fishing village called King Ash Bay Fishing Club. It's located on the banks of the McArthur River downstream from Borroloola in the Northern Territory. I still go back there a few times a year and make fishing videos of my fishing trips.
I enjoy filming and editing my fishing adventures. Thank you to everyone who leaves me a comment and shares my stuff. You guys are awesome.

Mate I am a Parrot Head & followed a singer called Jimmy Buffet all my life & one of his songs is " It's 5 O'clock somewhere" also in my Potting shed for my huge vege garden I have a sign hanging " It's 5 O'clock somewhere" & you know what I can have a beer anytime because " IT'S 5 O'Clock Somewhere" Great video mate. Mate you’ve seen nothin yet. Wait til part 2. Releasing it hopefully on Wednesday afternoon NT time if I get it finished.
I guided mule deer hunters out of Glasgow, Montana on Fort Peck Reservoir for 5 Point bucks and the first day I'd take them on a 25 mile hike to blow off the steam in them. That first day can be a bitch.

You should really just get a camera mount built into one hand, and a cup holder built into the other. It will be interesting to see how youtube treats the longer vid, vs the 3 shorter ones, seeing a lot of guys doing long videos of late, thinking maybe they know something.
I’m pretty sure “watch time” is the most importing thing in the algorithm. So if everyone watched the whole video that would be great. Haha. But if they watch a few minutes then exit, that would be bad.
Hi Mikey, do you do charters? My husband, our two kids and I just moved to Darwin from Townsville and we know nothing about fishing in and around Darwin. We are currently watching all your videos to learn a few things😀
Hi mate. Unfortunately, no I’m not a fishing charter operator. If you want to learn the ropes of local land based fishing, do a search for “hiro nakamura darwin” and watch his videos. He is very well known land based legend around Darwin.
If you want to go on a charter to catch Barra, then hit up Glenn from Barefoot Fishing Safaris. He is a mad-dog and knows how to find Barra.
